2:1 CSKA in OT. Bryz had a very good game according to commentators (I watched just 3d and OT).

Danny Brière with 2 assists and 2 goals (incl. game winner) for Berlin in today's 5:4 overtime win over Wolfsburg.

Luca Sbisa is playing for Mannheim in the Spengler Cup.
Looking good.

Isn't Mannheim in Germany? I thought he was playing in the Swiss League for the lockout or did he switch?

Yes it is.
The teams playing at the Spengler Cup often bolster their line-up with a few players from other teams in Europe which are not playing in the Spengler Cup. Don't know the exact rules.

Oh okay, thanks. I heard Talbot was playing in the tournament on some team just for the tournament and I thought that was kind of odd.

Tavares made him look like a pylon for a second there, though

It was a fun game, and anyone who hasn't seen it can catch it on TSN's VOD. You could really see the skill Tavares, Seguin and Duchene have, and Seidenberg was also playing like a boss on Mannheim's defense. The atmosphere was also great, and it'd be awesome if European rinks were always this full. You just don't get this kind of thing here in Canada, no matter the league. Which sucks, especially since the attendances at NHL games are so much higher, and there's so much potential for it.

Seidenberg indeed was great. Never thought of him as that good of a skater.

The thing about the atmosphere is, that it can get really annoying if you just go there to watch the game. Especially since more and more fan-groups model themselves after the ones in european football. There is often one guy who stands with his back to the ice (facing the other fans) dictating the chants. With this comes constant cheering, it's completely decoupled from the actual game and it's events.
I visited my first game in the DEL in 03 and I was completely in awe with the fans and the atmosphere, also because it was different to the atmosphere in football stadiums. Lot has changed since than, unfortunately.

Well, I'd say Danny's situation was the most exciting thing in the first period ...

2 minutes for eerrrm, dunno what exact penalty would be equal to übertriebene Härte (excessive force)

That should be Roughing, judging by the scene.

the way the first period ended, the same way the second period continued over almost all the time ... checks, checks, penalties

Voracek is now second in scoring for Lev Praha in KHL with 19 points in 22 games, despite playing 14-15 games less than most of the other forwards.

Briere left the bench early.
Took a hit along the boards.

They were often going after Danny ... but as usual our non-professional linesman turned blind on two eyes.

Meh, he was invisible throughout the game this time, though.

Talbot scored in the second period the 3-1 for Fribourg against Mannheim in the Spengler cup. 20 minutes left !

In the 2 first games (against UFA and Vitkovice), he had 2 assists against UFA. Fribourg will play against Team Canada in the semi-final if they win against Mannheim today.

Gervais had one assist against UFA.

Next game against Team Canada will be on TSN tomorrow (TSN, 3pm et/Noon pt).

Talbot's Goal : don't know if you can watch outside Switzerland, but I'll try http://www.rts.ch/g/J3KC

Meh ... Danny Brière will not be able to play for 2-3 weeks due to an overextension of the wrist and bone contusion.

Ruslan Salikhov ‏@rushockey
I should re-frase that - Ilya Bryzgalov: "I quit CSKA because lockout is ending"

Bryz is returning home since he thinks the lockout is ending
