The Leafs' most aggressive defencemen in the last 10 years?

Who was the most mean Leafs D in the past decade? I ask because that's one thing we are really lacking from the back. Someone with mean streak, a bad mofo who players have to keep their eyes on.

Only player I can think of was Yuskevich. He was just mean when he had to. Block shots, go into the corners. His partner Markov wasn't bad but too reckless and not consistent.

We had Bryan Marchment for a year, but even that during end of tenure.

Dave Manson, but too old by the time he got to the Leafs

On top of the guys already mentioned, McCabe definitely had a mean streak. Nice hipcheck, plenty of big hits in general, and I remember his can opener move being pretty nasty.

Why is everybody questioning the guy who said Schenn?

OP clearly states in the last decade. I think Schenn qualifies.

IIRC Ian White had a pretty nasty hipcheck, Kubina always had big hits.

That was a huge hit on Sauer. Not sure if he has fully recovered yet.

Wouldn't be surprised if he never really did recover. Though, been awhile since I've read how he's doing but it wasn't pretty from what I remember.

Agree on Phaneuf.

Ian White was a feisty little bugger at times
