The first period was a lot of fun...I was hoping that it would keep going like that the rest of the game instead of luck factoring into the game. I also disagreed with the PS call and it's kinda terrible that you have to control your goalie during a penalty shot.

I have no problem with that....I actually enjoy controlling the goalie in the shootout.
9 times out of 10, the move I did with the goalie works. You were just patient enough to get around it. It was all those dang wristers from beyond the faceoff dots that I didn't like.
Guess I'm still learning how to score on this game. I mean, all of yours were clean shots that beat the goalie. No garbage goals at all.
Also, is it possible to change the CPU to Superstar? Or I guess my first question should be what is the CPU's level at the moment. I played the computer (Wild) and beat them 7-2.

I just went with default settings (I think that means Pro) when I set up the league, but I don't know if there's a way to change it after the fact. I agree that it's a bit on the easy side though...
First week of the league, and I've got 3 games against human controlled teams......only one of those humans has acknowledged my messages and found time to play our game.
Luckily I learned that you do not have to play your games in order. I was able to play against the CPU teams on my schedule before my games against human teams, just an FYI if you didn't know already.
After posting in the PS3 Connected league, I will attempt to pay more attention to thread titles!

I don't think the league is dead at all; I've finished my 5 games for the schedule period and I'm waiting until I hear from others that they're more or less finished and are ready for a new schedule period.

I thought I was at least average at this game
I just don't get it. I get zone time, I get fore-check turnovers, I get some odd-man rushes, I even get rebounds with a wide open net....yet any shot I take either misses the net or hits a post (yes, even off a rebound 2 feet away from a wide open net, I still hit the freakin post )
Yet my opponent skates into the zone, no traffic in front of the net, fires an everyday wrister and beats my goalie cleanly. I swear either I truly suck at this game, or EA seriously hates me.

Don't worry, these are the things I have been griping about ever since I started playing it once it came out. I am even more vocal about this with my HUT team.
I have completed all my CPU games and still waiting on the Human game play, I am the Pens so if anybody is waiting to play me, let me know and we can try and set up time. (<-- We have to do it that way right?)

I've sent PM's on here as well as xbox live messages to try and set up game times.
One of the teams changed their status so that you can play against the CPU even though it is a human controlled team (that was Nashville) it's worth it to check for that as well.

I really wanted a true #1 C, since it's really easy to move David Backes and TJ Oshie to RW. I'm happy with that trade, especially since I don't really like undersized D-men.
Played the last CPU team on my schedule the other night (just one human game to go)
I go into the 3rd period with a 3-0 lead. Then they cause a turnover in the neutral zone, get a quick pass for a breakaway, he gets tripped and gets a penalty shot:
It's been almost 3 weeks since I've played a human controlled team on our GM connected league.....and not because I don't have any on schedule, it's because whenever I send a message to someone to set a time to play the game, they don't respond.
I'm getting frustrated at the players in this league and how slow things are moving. Somebody's gotta voice this concern, cuz I sincerely feel this league is just about dead. If you all want out, just come on here and have the decency to say it.
If you'd rather spend your time playing ACIII, that's fine, but don't leave this league hanging in the wind without any notice.
