How did Kovy score 3 goals with only 17 minutes, and some change of ice time?
He's got 10 points in 6 games, and is a +7. Not bad!
I really would trade Zajac for Tarasenko. Zajac, a roster forward, and a D man, and maybe a 2nd round pick. I'm sure if we see Zajac walk next year not too many people would have objected to a trade like that happening, looking back on it.
Tarasenko wouldn't be a UFA for like 6 more years.

oh boy. i dont think the blues want zajac given his contract being up soon, and if we lose the only real proven centerman we have...yikes. could get ugly. someone's gotta get those 2 the puck

If he leaves anyway I think a lot of people will be wishing we had traded him.
Unless we go on a huge Cup run again like we did with Parise. Even then some whackos seriously thought we should have shipped Parise out at the deadline.
I don't think the Blues want Zajac either. This is all a complete armchair GM trade for me. I mean isn't that all anything is around here anyway? I would offer Zajac a good deal once the CBA is done, and if he declines I'd send him out. Only for someone good though.
Just saw those highlights and Kovy is dominating the KHL which really is unsurprising. He dominates the NHL too but when it's on big ice and it's in a less talented league it's not even fair.
Too bad Kovy won't be dominating the NHL at all anytime soon. The meetings this week aren't about core economic issues again. What a ****in joke the NHL is!

I want to see Tarasenko too. It'd really suck to see his career get pushed back another year because of the lockout. He's going to be a franchise player and he's one of the few centers in the league that meshes so well with Kovalchuk. There is no chance of the Devils getting Tarasenko, but I thought the same way with Kovalchuk too.

I think they lost 2 days ago too. I'm glad there wasn't a shootout though. We had that huge debate cause Kovy went 1 for 4 in the shootout. If the KHL's shootouts were like the NHL's where the same player doesn't shoot more than once, then Kovy would be 1 for 1. He scored on his first try.
