NHLnumbers.com has our average age at 29.8. Without the goalies it's probably down to 28 ish

Good things come out of that policy, though. Good, hilarious things.

So yeah can't wait for Kovy's first game. He will tear it up on big ice, absolutely destroy everyone.

Awesome time to be a SKA fan now

Kovy's probably going to be the only player who has captained 4 different teams in a span of 2 years

Love Kovy, but I`ve been rooting for the CSKA for years (in football too) and now that they added Radulov, Datsyuk and Zharkov, it`s a no brainer, really.

Plus Slava, plus Fedorov.

I must admit I'm curious to see comments about the KHL hockey from NA people that decide to watch for the first time ... as I find euro-hockey much faster, more open in general, and more fun to watch.
Oh yeah, with dump&chace occuring cca 1.666 times per period except when you have NA coach, like my boys in Zagreb do

That's not really how time zones work...

Moscow, for example, is 8 hours ahead of NYC. So... Games will start at like 11AM EST.

Lev Prague (Voracek, Hudler, Picard, younger Hossa and Vrana ) plays Avangard Omsk (Frolov, Ramo, Popov and Perezhogin who both played world-class hockey with Malkin as a center at the Worlds, Salmela and Skoula ) in just about 20 minutes.

Ovechkin will play his first game for the Dynamo Moscow (against Minsk) today too.

Fun fact about Andrew Peters. He was actually on the ice for a goal scored once with us. Eric Boulton was not, but somehow Cam Janssen was on for 2, and assisting on 1. P3L I'd have to check on. I'm not sure there. Asham actually scored like 6 goals that season, but he was by and far the worst player we had on that 07/08 team that was filled with a lot of suck. I remember when he had that fight with Sutter in practice!

At least we'll get to see if Kovy looks good, and rested when he plays over there!

PL3 had a single assist as a Devil, so he has been on the ice for a goal.

It was against Toronto right? I think I remember it and it was a decent pass.

Apparently he had two assists that year. One against Toronto, and one against Atlanta in 09/10. Those were the only games he had a plus rating in. However in 08/09 he only played 8 games, and was a +3. No points though.

I'll never forget his last game with us against the Caps. Second game of the 10/11 season where he got fined. Kovy fought that night too. I love when Kovy fought Schenn.

Sergei Brylin played for SKA, so the choice is obvious to me.

Favorite goon goal from our recent bunch is Cam's first, against Kolzig and the Caps.

Haha it's on you tube somewhere. That was in the Meadowlands too wasn't it? Not long before he took out Kaberle.

If Kovy keeps his D-side of the game going, I fully expect him to dominate the whole KHL and completely outshine two home-coming stars.
So GDT stands good chance for transforming into great gif-party
