Pretty strange concept unless they are totally confident they will make the playoff and so have time to adjust the offense later.

Maybe they are tanking this season and instead long term preparing for KHL

Strange it is if true and fans are getting tired of the coaching staff because the game system can't create offense.

Jokerit have been boring as hell so far.

.
That is normally what you would expect from an underdog team - focusing primarily on defense - not from Jokerit.
Maybe they got shocked last season from being among the very best in the regular season and then cracking under pressure in the playoff. Now they want to make a reverse - just barely make it in regular so they take of some fan pressure for the playoff?
But if they miss the playoff - oh boy the fan pressure will make heads roll......

Strange - Jokerit finally get some offense going and scores 4 goals, and Nichlas Hardt reawakens with a hat-trick, but then Jokerit also let in 8 goals against Kärpät!
Apparently they haven't sorted out the defense yet, or they have changed their game plan?!
At least the viewers probably avoided boredom this time.

Apparently they decided to stop playing defense and go more on the offensive.......
It's still the second highest number of goals they have scored this season.

It seems after the 8-4 debacle to Kärpät, that Jokerit finally have turned it around and produce some offense with wins the last 5 matches. That has definitely taken them towards a current playoff spot position.

Nichlas Hardt has also had a good production and is second in Jokerit with 5G 8A.

PS: Simon Nielsen has also resigned with Lukko, so again 2 Danes in the Finnish league.

Another Hardt goal and Jokerit victory 2-1 over Ilves.
Everyone have to admit it is going in the right direction......at least on the score board.

They have improved and Hardt has been the team's best forward so far this season. Team still needs help in centre position and hopefully some news comes soon.

Though one has to take into account that they've faced teams with more problems (HIFK, TPS) or on the decline (Ilves) lately. The real barometer is how they fair against Kärpät.

That's true and there is still lots of work to do but when you compare how bad they played as a team before, they have taken steps forward.

And more about Hardt, if he keeps playing like this, he might make the KHL-Jokerit.

Seems there's rumors in Rauma that Hardt will be playing for Lukko next season.

Now it seems he's chosen HIFK. Jokerit showed no interest in him.

Which tend to be true when more fans of different teams keep hearing them. Finland is such a small place that there's always some wife, relative, friend or neighbor with a blabbermouth. E.g. Pasi Saarela going from Lukko to Jokerit in the 90's was known over here a couple of weeks before any paper printed the rumor. A gaming friend of mine was a neighbor of J-P Hytönen in Jyväskylä and mrs Hytönen sure liked to talk to her.

Maybeh even bit surprising. But looks like they are getting decent roster then.

Hmm, I wanted Leksand to sign Hardt, looks like I can forget that then..

How is Jokerits roster coming along for their KHL season? Swedish media reported that they had signed Ryan Gunderson from Brynäs.

If KHL-rookie Patrick Bjørkstrand can come from Mora in Allsvenskan to playing 54 matches for Medvescak Zagreb, then if Jokerit doesn't have any space for Nichlas Hardt on their KHL teams that must have one hell of a team planned

More like he was going to get more minutes/bigger role at HIFK(?) with not that much smaller salary than he would have gotten at Jokerit.

But it is still just a rumour, right? Nothing is confirmed yet.
I would think that Hardt would love to follow Jokerit into KHL (unless it means a big salary drop).

I don't understand why he wouldn't want to play for Jokerit next season or why Jokerit wouldn't sign him. Great player. He could propably get about 75k more from Jokerit.

Of course role (1st line in HIFK/Lukko/most Lüga teams vs. 3rd line in Jokerit) and travelling distances are factors too, but that sounds quite strange nevertheless. Could be an average Jatkoaika-rumor though, total bs.

So Nichlas Hardt - the first ever danish player in Finland - is now history in Jokerit and will sadly not play in the KHL next year.

He changes to Linköbing in SHL after getting two bronze medals in Finland (with Tappara in 2007-08 and with Jokerit 2011-2012). He will debut in SHL since his former years in Malmö (2008-11) all were in Allsvenskan.

Always liked Danish Dynamite. Good luck to him in Linköping and I'm glad he didn't go to HIFK.

Jokerit wouldn't have offered the playing time he's going to get with Linköping. Money's probably equal or more.
