Who cares about the NHL

I know in 2004 I was really down over the lockout.

This time, I honestly couldn't care less.

I found out then there is so much more to life than the NHL.

How is this worthy of its own thread?

Welcome to the real world which is far more interesting. However hockey is very exciting and enjoyable but to base your reality upon it is ridiculous. The players/owners only care about $$$ and dont pay your mortgage so always remember that.

What was it that Ovi said last week, "if the league cuts salaries dont be surprised if a lot of players quit" and do what? Mow lawns....not a lot of education or outside skills were talking about here and an extremely idle threat in my opinion...

He's a scout's dream in the way he prepares himself and plays an unselfish game, making smart decisions with the puck. With his bloodlines, he certainly understands what it will take to make it at the next level.
