I have a terrible confession: NCAA hockey is not compelling to me at all. The games feel so sluggish. I still watch a few Gopher games a year but outside of when they are in the NCAA tourney it's kind of boring. I mean...CHL games are more compelling.

When I have no rooting interest I prefer watching the NHL, but I'd rather watch the Gophers than the Wild. I think a lot of it has to do with the familiarity with the players. I've always followed MN high school hockey fairly closely (and now it's my job to) so it's enjoyable for me to follow recruiting and watch these guys progress from one level to the next.

Like hockey in general, go to a live college game.

Not sure how I forgot to mention that, the games are also more fun to go to

Seems like Draeger gets #1 PP time.

Been getting top-pairing minutes in all situations since the beginning of the year. MSU has 4 first-year players on D.

And he just hit the pipe...

Gotcha. Gophers have played MSU already; probably should've know that. I pay attention good.

Covering college hockey has to pay off somehow.

Draeger seems to be their best defenseman, either Pierre or Doc said he typically plays 30 minutes a night.

Getting ranked at all in the Twitter media rankings isn't payoff enough for you?

Lucia with a PP Goal.

One timer with a gaping net. Was set up very well by Tynan(sp?)

Great to see him not only in the right place, but to have that clean of finish on the shot.

Being #301 is nice but if I can teach something to someone then...

He can be counted as a "shoot first winger", no? Just a matter of him progressing properly.

The colors of this broadcast make it look like its being played in 1910.

Has the sepia look going on.

I honestly haven't seen him play much, but I think that's a fair assessment.

He whipped one just wide about a minute into the game; seemed to have a very quick release on that shot and his goal. I like his game.

That was an amazing pass by Draeger. Too bad it didn't quite work out.
