The season is back in Switzerland and Brunner takes up where he left off: 2 assists against Rapperswil. Zetterberg scored a goal (assisted by Brunner).
Zetterberg now has 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) in 18 games (1.61 PPG)
Brunner has 50 pts (23 goals, 27 assists) in 28 games (1.79 PPG)

I cannot believe Cam Barker has been released by the Texas Stars now too. I have rarely seen a guy that actually had a good breakout season in the NHL falter this quickly, it is unreal. I have to believe he is better than Paetsch or Evans, but I guess not and I wonder what went wrong.
Apparently Kindl has left Pardubice and is already back in the US. Quincey also left the CHL team he played for some time ago. No word on the others going back yet.
Mursak had two goals on Wednesday and an assist tonight.

Lindbäck and Talbot left Ilves, and also Foster and Hansen wanted weird early game misconducts today at HIFK-Tappara game.
Well, reportedly Brunner is playing now, against Salavat Yulaev UFA. Davos and Zug have agreement that Brunner plays only 3 games for Davos, which is why he was 'cut' last night against Mannheim.
I'd like to see Brunner with Jumbo Joe, he reportedly likes net crashing RH-shooters. And I heard somewhere he can pass pretty well.

Too bad he's not playing with Jumbo-Joe.
It's something like this:
Josef Marha - Joe Thornton - Dario Būrgler
Loui Eriksson - Petr Taticek - Patrick Kane
Damien Brunner - Reto Von Arx - Petr Sykora
Dino Wieser - Janick Steinmann
Kane and Eriksson are basicly killing that Salavat KHL team.
Brunner getting cross-ice passes from one of the best in the game? Mercy!
Why isn't he playing in the top 6? Since he's supposed to be the best player in the Swiss hockey league this year (production wise).
Don't know. Maybe they wanted to split the talent. Doug Shedden is his coach at EV Zug, now he is coahing Team Canada at the same Spengler Cup. Maybe Davos coach is an idiot.
On the 2nd period power-plays I saw him also at the 1st unit with Thornton. It didn't look that they took those games very serious. Almost All-Star -game feeling.
Just informing you guys that Valtteri Filppula has recovered from his knee injury (he was injured November 13th) and is scheduled to play on January 8th against Blues.

I think he is at North America before that game. But wouldn't be bad for Jokeirt fans to have one farewell game before the NHL starts.

Even if it was sarcasm, I guess that it's not true
He already won another title with Davos since this article came out.
In about 30 minutes the final of the Spengler Cup starts. Brunner will be playing, that's for sure.
