Brunner with two goals and two assists tonight. He's not at 10 games 7+10=17 and leads the league with 2-3 games less played than the others.
You can find highlights from this link(for October): LINK. Find their game (EV Zug) and choose V for video or S for game stats. Zetterberg will debut with Zug on Tuesday and he's supposed to play on a line with Brunner.
i was there and it was a lot of fun. miller's goal was a one-timer in the slot. he played ok, but he didn't exactly stand out. weird fact: one guy got a natural hat-trick in the match but the man-of-the-match/first star went to a random d-man who got an assist, played quite well, but did absolutely nothing special, lol
For those bagging on the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga had a conversation with a friend that played over there with the Red Bull team and he didn't think it was far off the AHL where he has come back to play again. Guys like Grabner and Myers have signed there now recently. It might not be a powerhouse league but it isn't as terrible as some of these posts would indicate. What Mursak is doing is pretty impressive and has to be huge for his confidence.
Is there any streams or videos of his games that would be available for someone in Canada to watch?
Highlights can be found here: http://www.erstebankliga.at/de/videos
His team is HDD Telemach Olimpija Ljubljana and Mursak is #39 wearing red Wings' gloves..

The gloves do help him stand out. The second goal was very impressive in my opinion, picks the corner with a lot of pace on it. The backhand probably gets stopped by a bigtime goalie on his first one, nice placement but not the pace he put on his second shot. The Wings always talk about how heavy his shot is and it did pop off his stick on the second one.
Also interesting he looks to be playing the point on their PP, at least from the highlights it appears that way.
On a team at the bottom of the standings and minus ten on goal differential, his plus 10 also jumps out at you.
Very good chance Alex Auld is the guy he is scoring on in these highlights, he is the Red Bulls goalie this year.
edit: turns out I am wrong the box scores show it was their 18 year old backup.

Reason: Correction
Hockey players live and die in their own minds ... if Mursak keeps lighting it up he might come back with another level of swagger and translate some of that to the show. Good for him.

Glad you enjoyed the game
Miller didn't really stand out in his first appearance either, although he definitely didn't look like he was giving it his all in terms of hustle. Not knocking him at all, seeing as how he's only just joined a new team in an unfamiliar country and likely isn't fully in game shape. He was definitely the strongest player on the boards for either team though, and in Friday's game could have put up a couple more points if another player had converted a sweet stretch pass from Miller or if he'd hit the net on a nice chance from ten feet out.
If you have a lot of money lying around, Finnish version of eBay is selling Valtteri Filppula's jersey. It was worn by Val on September 25th in a game in the first period against SaiPa.
Given the movement today, I am pretty against Zetterberg suiting up for Zug at all today.
EDIT: we kept hearing Tuesday, well it doesn't look like they play until Friday, a little confused about that, was it European competition and not league on Tuesday? In any event if negotiations go well the next couple of days I wonder about him even suiting up for Zug in a NLA game. Don't think it would be wise even with insurance.
Could be a rough couple of days for Zug, instead of seeing Zetterberg play at all, they would also immediately lose their leading scorer to the AHL. Kind of feel for their fans there, would have to be quite the letdown.

Yes, he played today. It was a European Trophy game:
That is a greenback cutthroat trout if I ever saw one. That team has the potential to be hilarious. They held open tryouts a couple of weeks back and their arena is best known for rodeo and roller derby. I look forward to some Jackie Moon-like promotions and cheap beer.
