It's first Malkin's home game in years. He must be doing his damnedest.
Poor Lev (Prague), by the way, the leader of the western conference

With his two assists today, he's pushing for the number five spot in the league. He's just outside of top 20 in the league for points ... in 4 games. Wow ... and he's still not at 100%.

Hehe, Geno is a human cheat. At least in hockey. 2nd 3 points game in a raw. And still there is a period to score more.

And of course Maurice doesn't give him any PP time with a PP laden 3rd period. It's ok to give him a 30 second shift fer cryin out loud.

He'll probably say he wasn't happy with how he was playing in the third like he did last time
O'Reilly is centering Lisin and Kulemin this game. I get spreading the ice time around, especially with that big of a lead, but say that's what you're doing and don't try to make it sound like Malkin fell apart in the final period. Especially since Malkin is the reason the arena sold out.

In the presser after the last game, he was asked why Malkin and Kulemin had like 4 minutes in the final frame, and he said it was because he wasn't happy with how they were playing, that the fourth line was busting ass so they got their ice time.

::EDIT:: Next game is Saturday at 7am EST ... yikes, that's early

Did Malkin score today? It wouldn't let me watch the game. I'm watching CKA Moscow and Salavat Yulaev.

It was fun game to watch. Metallurg has outplayed Lev.
It was like Pittsburgh against Tampa last season.

Ahh i see.
Since the first game i've watched, MMG has come leaps and bounds defensively. I guess thats gonna happen with an NHL coach and defending Malkin everyday in practice.

Next game is Saturday, 15:00MoscowTime/7amET against these guys http://en.khl.ru/stat/players/222/all/4002/

yes. The girls are really good, they look like models. I think they are most beautiful among ice girls. You can watch them here:

Do you guys just watch Malkin or do you watch more games? I watch some MHL (VHL?) games. They're broadcasted on YouTube.

I try to catch Lokomotiv games in addition to MMG, but that's about it except for the highlights every now and then.

I like the Mozyakin/Malkin combo...moreso than Kulemin.

Is Maurice a defensive-type coach? I wonder why he doesn't like Kaigorodov.

Mozyakin and Malkin scored 13 points in 2 games playing together btw. Pity Mozyakin doesn't wanna come to NHL.

Mozyakin is one of the most skillfull and smartest guys in KHL, his movements are sick, but he doesn't play physical style of game. I doubt that he'd succeed in NHL

You don't have to be too physical playing with Malkin and Neal. And his hockey sense and skill could be very helpful... But it won't happen anyway.

With all the NA coaches, is English the main language of KHL teams? I always wondered how they operate

Some coaches have a translator, other try lo learn russian.
When Barry Smith was a coach of SKA, Sergei Zubov, former NHL player, said: sometimes it was quite ridiculous, when you saw Barry trying to speak russian. May be not ridiculous, but unusual for him
