I like listening to Levy call hockey again.

I hope that ESPN2 decides to televise more KHL games during the afternoon. It's better than watching Sportscenter for 5 hours on repeat. It's not like the NHL which competes for prime-time slots.

He's also taking most of the faceoffs. He's had a couple of bad games, but he's still over the 50% mark. Malkin and Gonchar are seeing the most ice time, and Geno is the only forward getting more than 20 minutes a game.

It will be interesting to see how Bylsma uses him once the NHL starts playing again. I really hope that happens soon.
Wouldn't that be funny if he comes back an even more well-rounded player with Maurice holding him more accountable than Byslma..

Is there anyway to know if and when ESPN2 would televise these games? I would love to record a few to watch.

I only found out because I checked the ESPN NHL page and it was on there (http://espn.go.com/nhl/). As far as I know the game that is on now is the only one that they have on the schedule right now. They have some games that are streamed on ESPN3 online though.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just start recording blocks of ESPN2 haha.

KHL game today between lev/dynamo wasn't too bad to watch on espn2.
I haven't watched much KHL in the past, maybe watch occasionally if ESPN2 will continue to air the occassional game.

One comment I have though is I think the Ref's are moderately bad, at least in this game.

The games are just reffed differently, the players get away with a lot more than in the NHL. Most of the calls are just blatant stuff, it's pretty similar in most of the Euro leagues.

Leave it to ESPN to agree to televise KHL games, but not NHL games. God I hate ESPN.

Canucks fans don't even know much about their own team let alone players from other teams, lol...

Watching these YT clips make me miss hockey even more...watching Football a little more than usual does NOT help at all. I am actually starting to hate Football now for some reason, that and Madden 13 blows.

The difference between Sid at the top of his game and Geno at the top of his is not a very big gap IMO. They're different styles but both a level of talent and dominance above the rest of the NHL's all-stars in those times. Possible exception Stamkos, but he's more one-dimensional than both Malkin and Crosby and easier to take off his game than both in a playoff type situation where more physical play is allowed.

Meanwhile, Ray devises plans to win the lottery and draft MacKinnon.

doesn't the monetary deal with the league have a lot to do with that?

though really, I feel like its a move from ESPN to just slap the NHL in the face.

I agree but ya know what, good for ESPN. The move smacks as nothing more than a big middle finger to the NHL and for what state the league is in right now, they deserve nothing less. Maybe one day the players and owners will realize how little they matter on the national (U.S.) scale. As far as I'm concerned I hope the league (players and owners) gets a big chunk bit out of their rears in the form of lost opportunities for all of this nonsense.

Sorry, end of rant.

Watching hockey on ESPN.

Oh for sure but still, how absurd is this premise? KHL games being played on ESPN instead of NHL games.

Comon man...

So many former Pens on Prague.. Surovy, Skoula, Christensen, even Sersen & Nemec.

Barry Melrose is still unbearable.

Looks like Magnitka and (finally) Geno's line came to play today.
Well that's aside from Kulemin and his blunder that gave Torpedo the temporary equalizer at the end of the 1st period.
