No doubt, Dats is one of the best players in the world. But Mozyakin is also a good player, very talented. He is one of the best scoring KHL leaders for several last years. I like to watch him playing. What I like about him most, he is very smart, non-standard player. That's why I compared him with Dats.

Any streams of today's game?

EDIT: Found a nice and legal one. Opening ceremony going now!

onhockeydotru has been the most reliable for me.

laolatv has begun restricting access for over a week or more.
I know it doesn't work from Canada. It was a great stream too.

I missed too, read in text translation : talking with refs, unsportsmanlike behavior

I see there's a 2min call against Misharin for tripping ... along with Malkin's misconduct right at the top of the second ... wonder what happened? Oh, well, MMg doing fine without him .... and now he's back for the third period.

Metallurg cruises 7-2, Malkin with a PP secondary assist.

This shows him with 2 assists http://en.khl.ru/report/222/?idgame=34622 and the stats page has him at 24 points ... but then the running text translation had him with only the one assist. Weird ... must have corrected themselves on Hodgman's goal, then, to add the assists.

Yeah, they added him to the ES goal, I don't remember seeing it during the game.

Mozyakin is nice. Reminds me a lot of Petr Sykora in his prime.

So, we can has Mozyakin on Geno's line when the madness is over?
Clearly, this wish must be stated plainly on every page of this thread.

Hehe, now Geno's making Lisin a new KHL's sniper... Another 2 goals from Enver and another 3 assists from Malkin. Think Geno will get Kovy soon.

What do you soon? He's already 4 points ahead of him!
Unless you meant Radulov? He's sitting just one behind him right now for the scoring lead and I fully expect Malkin to catch him by the next game. All this despite missing the first four games(reminds me of how he chased down the scoring title mid season last year) and while adjusting to the KHL game.

I mean Kovy still has 2 games played less.

Sure but that doesn't mean he'll pass Geno. Kovy seems to be cooling down a little after his hot streak/hot start. Meanwhile Geno's starting to get on a roll, by the end I don't think it'll even be close.

Zhenya the Play Maker He's now leading the KHL with 20 assists.

PPG is pretty close after today. 1.6 for Kovy and 1.59 for Malkin. They both play Friday in front of their home crowds, should be interesting. Especially since MMG is playing the new, kinder, gentler, came-to-play-hockey-and-not-just-brawl Vityaz. Also curious to see how a week+ of not playing hockey will effect their games.

4-1 MMK final.
Geno 1 PPG

PP's galore for MMK in this one. Score should've been 6 or 8-1 really.

19 points (6+13) in 8 last games for Malkin. Well, now he looks like the best player in the world.

Contrary to HF Boards general theory, this distinction doesn't usually change after a handful of games.

Especially if played in the KHL. But I've always believed Geno has it in his power to be the best. And if he gets there there won't be any second-guessing, playing on a team with The Sid.

I haven't poked around this thread much, so I'm sure it's been brought up, but I have to check ...

Geno is playing on a team that has Barrasso as goalie coach? Let's hope tommy boy's sparkling personality doesn't rub off on 71.

Malkin isn't a goaltender.
