Oh, Geno:

Them shades are almost as fabulous as the ones Siegfriend and Roy used to wear.

I saw this on Puck Daddy but I think it's an old picture and the puckster didn't realize it. This was from two summers ago wasn't it?

MMg cruises 5:1. Malkin 1 point, Gonchar 2, Mozyakin 3 points.
Mozyakin now is a scoring leader - 38. Radulov second - 36. Malkin 3rd - 32 pts.

Missed the Gordie Howe hat trick by a goal Wouldn't say that he came out the winner of that little scrum with Hedman, though, more of a draw. Read an interview after where he mentioned something about some of the tension being a carry over from the NHL. Geno seems to hold grudges

Hedman arguably caused or exacerbated Sid's neck injury.

Pens/ TB might be something to watch in the future. Vinny and Malkin seemed to have a thing going before Malkin ever came to Pittsburgh, Sid/ Hedman comes to mind and so does Malkin telling TB to get their shine box last year.

Here's Malkin's interview:
http://www.sovsport.ru/gazeta/article-item/571921
Some quotes:
Q: What do you think about negotiation between owners and players? Is it becoming an absurd? The subject of this dispute is 1 %.
A: But this 1% is millions. It’s surprise for me that owners – billionaires and hockey is not main business for them, but they try cut players money for whom hockey is the only source of income.
We want to have a good agreement with NHL, because we have to think about our families. Owners are good people and I think they could concede to us this 1%.
We have to finish lockout. Let each side take the half of this percent and begin to play in the NHL.
Q: Can you imagine that you will stay in Metallurg Magnitogorsk till the end of your career?
A: No, because I don’t believe the owners will destroy the NHL.

Q: Datsyuk said that in the KHL there are players better than him, Malkin, Covi, Ovi. They also could become NHL stars. Who are they?
A: In MMg – Potekhin, Kosov.
Q:Are you kidding?
A:Remember me when I was 19 yo? Was I better than them? I enjoy these guys. They have everything: speed, dekes, movement. They have to develop their talents, don’t cease doing that. A lot of guys of their age start to think that they have reached everything they wanted.
I’ve done right things when I moved to the NHL. I was lucky to meet Gonchar, he gave me a lot of advices. I’ve been developing. Guys have to think not only how to play in MMg, but also in national team, may be in the NHL.

I can't say how much I want Gonchar on that bench and in that locker room when he retires.

Put Malkin in a room with Fehr an Bettman, I'm sure they'll find a solution.

It goes beyond just on ice play. Gonch is a first class person and Malkin not having that Ovy attitude comes directly from Gonch.

Malkin had a little bit of a punky rep before coming to the Pens and some of its deserved. I fully think Gonchar had a huge hand in making Geno the man he is today.

Penalty. 71.Evgeny Malkin (Metallurg Mg). 10min. abuse of officials and unsportsmanlike conduct.
