Geno is a PPG player in KHL so far. But I know he can do it better.

He's looking better every game. Glad to see Kulemin on his wing. There's a few of us on this board who've been wanting to acquire him from the Leafs. Hopefully, Shero is watching.

Me being one of them. I think a Kully - Malkin - Neal line would just be insane. They could do it all, cycle, pass game, board battle... Its almost the perfect line.

He (hopefully) might even become available soon now that they have JVR. I've seen many leaf fans putting him on the third line.

Nice to see a win Guessing Malkin is holding out that first goal for home ice ... which, I think is Thursday 9:00EST VS Lev Prague.

Yup and he has that "puck get" to his game that Disco loves.

At the price the Leafs signed him for ( 2 years cap hit of 2.8) it would be dumb for them to trade him unless we really give them a lot in a trade. If he has a bad start to the year maybe Burke would want to move him but it would cost us a top D prospect IMO

I doubt Burke is looking to trade him, despite Leafs fans including him in pretty much every trade proposal. If he was, it would probably be a safe bet to think Burke would try to squeeze out a bit more from Shero than other GM's, considering the history/proven chemistry between Kulemin and Malkin. Still, would love to see him rocking the Black and Vegas Gold

Something I've been wondering ... maybe one of the Russian posters can answer ...
One their sleeves it's MMK but on the on-screen score display it's MMG ... which one is the correct? Or are they interchangeable?

MMg - the right way. MMK - i think one of their sponsors. Magnitogorsk Metallurgic Company or something like that.

No, they are not interchangeable.
MMG are the first consonants of the Metallurg MaGnitogorsk.
MMK is a sponsor in russian, K means Комбинат

Thanks! I didn't realize it was advertising

And they scored 3 goals in the first five? All on that PP?
Isn't Lev ranked first in the West?

Two assists, still snakebit as far as goals, but it won't be too much longer ... he's looking closer to 100%.

::EDIT:: Except for face-offs ... he's not doing too well with those today. He's been around 60%, but today it's more like 35%
