Okay guys, I now have access to the WHL. Shall we have a vote on whether I stream the Blades (Sutter) or the Americans (Yuen)? Blades play at 8 and Americans at 9 so I'll have the first period of the Blades game up at least.
Seconded, but only because I can actually watch the entire Blades game.
I have yet to watch all 3 so I'm pretty indifferent. But I guess my interest is more in Sutter, since he's more likely to be a NHLer.
I do want to check out Yuen and Olsen sometime this year. Olsen is pretty comparable statistically to Sutter and I've heard Yuen is a real smooth skater.
EDIT: but HS is paying so I hope in the end it's his choice
Does anyone know of a channel that I might subscribe to to watch junior hockey games on the TV? Streaming games on my computer isn't an option unfortunately.

Shaw runs a WHL game of the week on their access channel and Sportsnet has one CHL game per week on Friday nights beginning in mid-Oct.
Just noticed that the Shaw game of the week is now listed in the programming guide for this Friday night on both SD channel #9 and in HD on #303 - but unfortunately the vast majority of these games are shot in SD and at best what you'll usually get on the HD channel will be a poorly up-converted signal.
I haven't been going too in depth with most of our prospects, so could somebody tell me the approximate time it may take Lukas Sutter to make it to the Jets?
From what little I've seen of him, and from what I've read, he looks like he'll be a solid third liner. Sadly streaming isn't an option due to the poor internet services offered in my area, and I don't have Rogers. Hopefully I'll be able to catch the occasional OHL game on Sportsnet on Friday's.

Personally I think it's iffy that Sutter turns into a quality 3rd line pivot. He has the upside for it, but there's never any guarantee that prospects hit their upside. I think at worst case he's similar to what we have now in Cormier.

I think if Cormier got his sandpaper back he is a legit NHLer. He has some issues with suspensions a couple years back and his game has altered. He still is physical, but he needs to control straight aggression with calculated physical dominance. He has that. Watching Sutter, he has the same sort of issue. But being a Sutter he has countless influences from family on what role he needs to be, thats in his favour for sure. I think your comparison from Cormier to Sutter in that rate is excellent. Good call. Definite parallels in some fronts.
