Why on earth didn't they try to get at least 5 yards on 3rd down? Questionable at best
Wait. They kicked on 3rd with 13 seconds left? That's ****ing retarded. Didn't they have a TO left...?

I don't give a **** about anything else. Eli threw a horrible pick in the endzone. That ended the game. This loss is on him. Period.
I guarantee you he feels that way, as well.
it didnt end the game. reasonable play calling at the end gets a very accurate kicker a 40ish yard fg. instead we throw a ****ing bomb down the field to a guy that didnt even play much in the game. absolutely zero ****ing concept and thought went into that call. even if its incomplete we end up kicking on 3rd down with a lot of time left on the clock.
You can say whatever you want. If he doesn't throw that reckless, horrible, joke of a pick we win the game. End of story. That was the worst ball he has thrown in a long time. That was old Eli. The QB has to get the blame here. This is like this stupid board when Lundqvist ***** the bed and the Swedes start attacking me for * GOD FORBID * saying he should've played better.
Eli lost us this game. Plain and simple.
I love the guy. He's the best QB in football, in my opinion. He's one of the best Giants players of all time. He lost us this game.
No timeout, but it's plenty of time for a quick 5-10 yard post run play to the sideline...
just absolutely horrendous play calling in that last few plays. run outs to the sideline and a streak to the endzone and throw it where its either a TD, a catch on the sideline, or out of bounds.

Um, guy, did you see the defense play? What did you see that made you believe that the D would have contained the Eagles?

And if Osi, Justin Tuck and Corey Webster weren't awful all game we win too.
Can't put all the blame on Eli when the only reason we have a chance to win games these days is because of him. Was it an awful pick? Absolutely. But that one awful play doesn't nearly stack up to how unacceptably atrocious the D was in the second half.

The blame isn't ALL on him. But his play lost us the game. He was the deciding factor with that one joke of a play.
even when it was fourth and 1. you're gonna go 15 yards downfield to barden? on 4th AND 1?? after that there was the gillbride draw play and then every play was 20+ yard pass. god awful.
They had the ball on the 27. Why the **** did they throw 20 yards down the field to Barden? They needed 5-10 yards at most.
Eli failed to find Barden and wanted to go deep. It's not like the QB cannot alter the play. We blame Gilbride for ****ing everything when not everything is the man's fault. I was a bit annoyed at the playcalling tonight at times, but it was far from terrible. We've seen much, much, much worse.

Yeah I meant whether it was Eli or Gilbride's decision- it was a stupid one.

My one complaint about Eli is now that he has great receivers and has developed so much is that he tends to force balls downfield rather than check it. It's a minor complaint, but it cost us tonight (along with his bonehead interception).
I will give him the benefit of the doubt, really, because his play was a bit out of character for him if you ask me.
And they held them to a field goal. The defense held the Eagles to ONE TD and a bunch of FGs. The defense was fine for the most part (outside of Osi).
You cannot ask for much more than that.
There was no excuse for us to be under 20 points when Aso was taken out of the game.
The D allowed 170 yards of rushing in the 2nd half. They were airtight in the first (Aside from the Jackson TD) but they weren't playing up to snuff in the 2nd.
And the Giants had no answer for either Celek or Jackson.
Frankly, that last drive was awful. The Giants were lucky to even be in position for the win...Cruz falling down, Baas' bad snap, and every positive play was due to an Eagle penalty. And, once Reid called the timeout to ice Tynes, I was certain Coughlin would take another chance at gaining some extra yardage.
