One of my friends from freshman year ended up becoming a guitar tech for Modest Mouse. I always thought they were clever, but preferred them in small doses. I could get behind making fun of their fans as well, but, you know, glass house scenario. Lets just say that going to the gym for years took me to some dark places, musically.
so you have gotten paychecks for it though? That would be pretty sweet.
Yes...but small ones for minor things. Considering the switch to television I'm not expecting a real paycheck for a good two years...but I spend way too much time on that stuff not to count it.
But there really isn't a better feeling than getting that first check for something you wrote...even if it's only $50.

I don't write homo-erotic fiction, so I don't see why any wrestling execs would come across my name.
My first job...I don't even care who it's with. I'll be thrilled to get the experience...also the paycheck. Most of the shows that I'd want to write for the least would be amazing jobs to have...do you know how much money the 'writers' for Two and a Half Men make? And you don't even need to know how to speak proper words to get that job.
finished up law school recently. currently looking for a job. preferably in the federal bureaucracy. but we've had that conversation.
Indeed.
Are you just spending all your free time for now listening to old jazz and seeming cooler than most of us? Haha.

I might've lost my mind.
Let us know how it went.

What is up with her stomach/hip? And I don't mean that in a "I am an internent troll, WOULD NOT BANG" way. Something just looks odd
Strong girls are a turn-off for me...so...meh. Wrestling/MMA/gym/whatever girls aren't attractive in the least to me. My type is the insane artistic petite girl...they're ****ing poison, but I can't help it.
If I ever have anything I'm proud of published (or start working for a TV show) I'll share it with you guys...but that hasn't happened yet so...
So, let's recap:

sort of happened to me too :/
>girl initiates conversation in class several times
>suggests that we visit teachers office hours together
>makes eye contact with me while other people are talking and smiles (every time)
>after studying together once she suggests we do it everyday
>she is then hard to get a hold of
>she casually mentions she has a boyfriend

After a week? Now i don't know if you were fooling around in the space time contiunuum of said week but if not then you need to move a little faster then that, in my opinion.
Or maybe I'm just a crazy european cause if I was into a girl (more then the usual, hey how you doin', sort of stuff) I'd be booking a date, making out or been rejected within the hour.

Meh, you're probably right but I tend to try to warm-up the girl first (giggity). As you can see, it sometimes backfires

Damn. Some women put you into the friend zone so sneakily, its like they have it planned from the moment they meet you. I read in the lady advice thread that a woman knows in the first minute after meeting you whether she wants to sleep with you..I think that's true. The best thing for us to do is accept there is little we can do about whether a girl likes us or not and move on

Too true, you'll drive yourself crazy if you don't
