I have encountered some of UPenn's finest ********* brass. They take the cake. They really do. I don't know what they feed the undergrads there, but it gives them the most inflated ego ever.

"Human history can be viewed as a slowly dawning awareness that we are members of a larger group. Initially our loyalties were to ourselves and our immediate family, next, to bands of wandering hunter-gatherers, then to tribes, small settlements, city-states, nations. We have broadened the circle of those we love. We have now organized what are modestly described as super-powers, which include groups of people from divergent ethnic and cultural backgrounds working in some sense together — surely a humanizing and character building experience. If we are to survive, our loyalties must be broadened further, to include the whole human community, the entire planet Earth. Many of those who run the nations will find this idea unpleasant. They will fear the loss of power. We will hear much about treason and disloyalty. Rich nation-states will have to share their wealth with poor ones. But the choice, as H. G. Wells once said in a different context, is clearly the universe or nothing."

Futurama's Nixon's head is my second favorite Nixon portrayal of all time. first goes to Philip Baker Hall in Robert Altman's Secret Honor.

It's pouring rain and I sit here with a glass of Scotch listening to the rain patter against my windows.

Very relaxing.

My friend bought a humidor. It won't hold humidity. He's tried every single gimmick there is to create the right percent of humidity (those water crystals, wet sponges, wiped the wood in the humidor down), and it will hold it for a while, but then it will drop. The seal on the humidor is fine. Anyone else know what else it could be? I put 3 cigars in there, I went to smoke one today at his house, and it was shot. I was none too happy.

Today's Google Doodle may be the best one yet, and an apt tribute to one of the great pioneers of the comic format.

Between $2-5 IMO.

I never used to tip delivery people in Timmins (due to poor service) but since I've been in Kitchener I've decided to be nice and start tipping here and there.

Perhaps the hygrometer is messed up or not calibrated properly??? Or maybe he messed up when seasoning the humidor???

In terms of seasoning humidors, this is supposed to be the Holy Grail of how to do it corrrectly...

http://www.puff.com/forums/vb/cigar-...w-humidor.html

Step by step with pictures.
