We could see some changes in MCH up front coming in a few days.

I am really happy to CYH doing solid in the AHL and playing for MCH to boot.

Go Get Em YellowHorn!!!

Sorry, I have been holding on to a rumor that had legs (or I think so). Could still happen but it would cause us to be sending a forward down to MCH (would have to clear waivers if not part of the deal) and a call up for one of the kids (cup of tea likely).

One of our forwards for the time being (on the kings) is playing through a bit of an injury. Not a biggie but if they ended up on the IR it could make a call up available.

If it doesn't happen by Monday I would let it go (if you put any weight to it at all).

Changes? Like what?

Andreoff had his 10th fight the other day against Bobby Robbins. Kid has balls. Took on Robbins and Bonneau and didn't get destroyed.

I look for him to be a King sooner than later. I called it with Nolan.

I'd rather see Andy get another year at Manchester before they bring him up. He's certainly a tough dude who's fought guys out of his class and held his own, like you said. Let Andy get stronger before he battles grown men.

Not sure who Ghost man is hinting to.

Monarchs win!

Monarchs beat the the St. John's Ice Caps tonight 5-2 and snapped a 6 game losing streak! Solid effort tonight. The Pearson-Vey-Toffoli line were unreal tonight! Dominated the game. The Monarchs also maybe rolling the smallest line in the history of hockey with Yellow Horn-Weal-Kozun. Toffoli's 2nd goal tonight was beauty sniped it from the blue line with a wrister and no traffic! Goal scorers tonight were Toffoli (2), Kozun (2), and Stewart.

Highlights should be up later.

Also of note is the Monarchs finally upgraded the quality of the feed on AHL Live! It's a larger screen and with a better picture. It also now has DVR functions (pause, rewinds, etc.). It's still by no means anything I call great. But, it's much better then the previous quality of the feed.

I went to the game tonight. First period was brutal to watch for both teams. Took about 15 minutes into the 2nd for the Monarchs to get it going. I thought both teams seemed either scared to or didnt want to play the body. Refs let a lot of stick work go.
Manchester did play well in the 2nd half the game, but they really took advantage of some shoddy goaltending by St. Johns.
the Toffoli line was flying all night long. they were very impressive.

What a shot! He looked great all game long. I cannot wait to see this kid on the Kings.

Pearson and Kozun have given the Monarchs a 2-0 lead so far against the Ice Caps.

I think Tofolli might score 30 this year. When was the last time the Monarchs had a 30G scorer ?

Cammy ?

Also Vey is almost a PPG player...

Monarchs lost 5-3. Didn't see the game but they blew a 2-0 first period. So, I'm gonna with... Not well.
Jones was in net tonight. Goal scorers were Kozun (2) and Pearson

Not looking great for the Monarchs but honestly I thought their record would be worse. Every time I check they've lost.

Well... The Monarchs suck!

Lost once again last night 3-2 to the Connecticut Whale. This time in the grandest of ways. They allowed 2 goals in about 15 seconds with less then 3 minutes to go in the 3rd period.

That's pretty freakin brutal.

The lone bright spot this season for Manchester has the been the Pearson-Vey-Toffoli line. Vey and Toffoli both scored for Manchester.

highlights:

IMO it might be time to fire Mark Morris. Obviously it's the players fault but with a young team a coach has got to be able to keep his team more focused. The Monarchs have blown more 3rd period leads they I could ever keep track of. It's pathetic.

I couldn't disagree with you more, I believe Mark Morris is the best coach Manch. has ever had and I'm going back to the beginning which is 2001.

As the old saying goes, you're only going as far as your goaltender takes you. Again this season, Jones doesn't have his head screwed on right.

The Toffoli, Vey, Pearson line is just fantastic and that's about it with this group. So many young guys are playing big minutes in games and at this point at least, they aren't ready for that. We have had young guys in Manch. before and some of them always thought they didn't need to listen to their coaches because they knew more.....listen to the adults boys.

It probably doesn't help that Manchester is missing a lot if bodies thanks to injuries to its parent club.

Very disappointed in Jones as well. This was to be his year to prove that he was all that he was cracked up to be as a junior and a part of Canada's 2010 WJC team, but he's struggled with consistency and may be playing his way out of a starting job in Manchester. Looks like they're missing Zatkoff in net.

Pittsburgh actually placed Zatkoff on waivers earlier this year!

I was texting Ziggy earlier and we're both confused why in a 3 games in 3 nights situation that he doesn't at least try to play Berube for one of those games.

It's a guess - but maybe the orders are to give Jones every chance to play his way out of this. They think he still has the tools - and if he can put it together the way he has in the past - then he'll be the next option for the Kings.

Look at all the goals from last game for instance. All point blank shots. Vey makes a horrific turnover, late in the 3rd, and Jones is supposed to stop that shot.

I'm not saying Jones is struggling with inconsistency but which goalie isnt. Be glad, it means he can be very good otherwise we wouldnt even talk about consistency. Goalies like Barry Brust and Danny Taylor are ranked among the best in the AHL right now. Manchester is just not a very good team and Jones makes the best out of it. He's not that elite that he can steal games on a regular basis. That's not worrysome because we have Quick in net for years to come. He might become a back-up for the Kings, I see no reason why he can't, and that should be it.

Jones is doing ok, Manchester is not a very good Defensive team. They are young, and the forwards are very young.

Wouldn't have helped Manchester at all... If the Kings claimed him back they would have had to keep him on the NHL roster for 30 days before trying to send him down...
