Pretty much what I thought, worrying more about his kid's draft position than franchise's future.
Windsor Spitfires @GO_SPITS_GO
BREAKING NEWS: The Spits have dealt Zach Lorentz to @PWhalers for overage forward Alex Aleardi. More to follow.
You gotta feel for Lorentz. 4th team this year. Started off season in Kitchener, then Peterborough, Windsor, and now Plymouth. At least he is working his way back up the standings
Yea sounds about right WR is a Idiot...were going to get kicked out in 4 or 5 games easy it's just to strong of a conference, and WR is only thinking about how much more goals Kerby can get to hopefully raise his draft rank...
Thoughtful post! You have absolutely no idea about the inner workings of the team or whether or not Koko said it's Windsor or Russia. I'll say that WR hasn't exactly hit homeruns with his last few trades, but give the guy a break, the one thing he isn't shy about is shaking up the team, he's done it in the past and he has already made 2 deals this, the deadline is still a few days away.

No kidding... that kind of movement is what makes a kid walk away from the OHL entirely.

Lorentz is going to a better team at least and not dumped in a hopeless situation like Schoenmakers was - Windsor did him dirt there. I don't know why Lorentz and Shoe even needed to be in the trade Devlin for Murphy was fair enough, maybe with the Spits adding in a draft pick sweetener.

Actually Windsor got the draft pick sweetner a 6th rd pick in 2013 in the trade

Can you tell me what's he point on trying to go for it this year? This is a strong conference and a first round exit with or without Koko, we're making are run next season it should be bulking up on 2-5th round picks and better 94/95 players....this is all about his son and paying off his $250.000 Punishment, he knows his team will go absolutely no where in the playoffs and it should be about trading for next year.
London has added some quality on the cheap the last few days (freebies more or less, unless Mark has stepped outside the rules )
Its really given him even more flexibilty in looking at adding a F or 2 or whatever he thinks he needs. 2 Fs for me would work nice.
Now can add an OA and drop Bailie (or 2 and drop Ferry but I doubt it)
Trade Patterson- I doubt it, but an option now
Can move Herbst (if healthy) and use that coveted 1st rd pick as bait (althou as a late late 1st rd pick....)
Whose the F or 2 coming? Some high end names still avail, and Mark has youngins and picks to make it happen. Well see how high hes willing to go in the payment dept.
Monahan- doubtful, but Id love it
Ritchie/Leivo- good fits to play with Tierney/Anderson on the cycle the &%$@ outta the puck line, leaving the other top 2 lines intact
Vet upgrade on 4th line?
I wont be surprised at anything Mark does, including not much

I don't think the Spits should go for it and I would prefer that they trade Koko, but if Koko did say it's Windsor or Russia, then I would rather have him here than not. Also, do you think that NHL scouts are so stupid that they wouldn't notice that an incease in Kirby's production came after Koko returned.

Kerby is already averaging a PPG not sure how much more you can expect from him. I agree if Koko wanted Windsor or Russia you need to keep him though. I just want this team to go in one direction and stick with it.

Koko also said that Boston TOLD him to come back to the O so If the spits traded him he would agree to go...

Boston Bruins had a lot to do with him coming back to the O. They 'pushed' him to do it so i doubt Koko had any such say of Windsor or Russia. Bruins wanna see him develop in the O, period.
