Yeah, my concerns as well. But SKA is a big club in a big city, and they won't get any benefit from forcing Tarasenko to play unrecovered. Everybody in pro-hockey nowdays knows concussions can be nasty.

They know they've got these guys (Tarasenko and Kovalchuk) for a short time and that their play is generating significant excitement for the franchise and the KHL in general.
The list of reasons they have for getting him back on the ice is quite long. The reason for holding him off the ice, his health, might not be considered that important. They know he's leaving the first chance he gets.
I'm hoping they're keeping him out for precautionary reason but I'm worried.
I doubt Tarasenko would risk his NHL career and his NHL payday for a few more games during the lockout. If he refuses to play and pisses of SKA, it's not like it will affect his NHL career at all. If Vladi plays, then I believe Vladi feels good enough to play.

I don't think the problem would be so dramatic as SKA trying to force him to play. My concern would be that he still has lingering effects of the concussion (mild headaches, etc.) but is still cleared to play.
If the post-concussion effects were significant, I think it'd be easy for him to realize that he shouldn't be playing on his own, regardless of whether there was any pressure for him to play. However, if he is suffering minor effects, I don't know that would be the case. With the NHL protocols, even minor effects would keep him out.

My thinking is even if he is cleared to play, but still has mild headaches or symptoms, then he will decide on his own not to play.
I think he may be his own worst enemy in this situation. He may try to play just because he wants to play even if he's not completely ready. I don't worry about him being forced, because everyone knows the severity of concussions. I worry about him forcing his way into the lineup before he's 100% because he's such a competitor, as are most guys on this level.

The intent was 100% there, he (Mezei) also tried to have a shot at Tarasenko earlier in the game as well. No suspension though.
The KHL is a joke when it comes to this, and there is still a reliance on an "enforcer" type player. The thing is that SKA only have 1 player that does that, Artyukhin, and he was suspended, and thatis what happens when he isn't around. We seen it last year with Lehterä, as good as Tarasenko was, everything went through Lehterä when he was on the ice for Sibir. He was targeted non-stop and was injured several times because of it.
looks like an elbow to the jaw. I'm no doctor but seems like that is usually less dangerous than a shoulder or elbow right to the head, which seem to cause the longest hockey concussions.
