So 101.9 the Alternative Rock station in NY just got bought out by CBS Radio. They're going to start simulcasting WFAN on FM radio (obviously to compete with ESPN going to FM). This is crap, 101.9 was the only station in NY which played newer rock music. We already lost it once when it was WXRP and now it's back and it's going away again

94.3fm is now rock. It used to be a sick throwback station for great 90s jams but they're rock now. There are still some good ones if you're in the Long Island area looking for rock, but you'd be hardpressed to find new rock like 101.9 was playing.
