Like I said though having only started 20 games in the last 10 1/2 months is simply not good enough for Irving's development. That has to change if you want to keep him around the organization moving forward. That is my main problem. This organization has put far to much time into developing him to simply throw him out the door after finally showing some real promise at the NHL level.

Irving is without a doubt the Flames top goaltending prospect in North America, and should be treated as such. I am of the belief that he should have to "lose" the net to Taylor as opposed to it being the other way around.
I agree he is the best goalie prospect but he did lose it, to be fair he was hurt last year but Taylor was one of the top 3 goalies in the ahl in his time on the Heat. At this point Taylor has earned the top spot until he falters.

are any of the Fs scratched injured (other than Nemisz)? Ferland, Eddy, and Byron all not playing yet. D Lamb has only played 1 game.

Bouma will not be playing tonight. Apparently he left at the end of the 2nd period and didn't come back.

Anyone else basically seeing every other AHL game on FirstRowSports and not abby's? Anyone know where I can catch the game, I haven't seen one so far due to not being able to find a stream.

Yeah, Byron is injured.
Ferland and Eddy have been healthy scratches up to this point, but one will likely draw into the lineup tonight as Bouma was injured last game. Unless of course Bancks plays (if he is healthy..)

The game tonight is on sportsnet one, and possibly sportsnet west as well. I am sure a stream will pop up somewhere online before the game if you cant get access to either channel.

Went to the game against the Bulldogs last night:

team obviously looked tired as hell. 3 nights in 3 games. I wish Aliu could have used his body more.

Horak and Reinhart were pretty good, Horak had a good breakaway chance during the game. Despite fatigue he was very fast.

Bartschi (surprise surprise) was very good. The way he handles the puck and his speed just made him amazing. Tinordi did a good job defending against him.

Horak is off to a hot start. Hope this means he'll be able to take his play to the next level in the big league.

Yea he is easily the most impressive prospect on the Heat ( I expected this from Sven). I also have really liked Lambs D game.

What Feaster and Weisbrod have done with this organization in less than 2 years is the best kept secret in the NHL.

And we're seeing the results of that with Abbotsford so far.

Street has been fantastic. With his signing it was expected he would provide 23+ goals and 50+ points for the Heat. But I had no idea how sound he was defensively. He has been incredible without the puck, his defensive play and penalty killing is among the best on the club. He is for the Heat what Conroy and Lankow were for the Flames IMO.

He is still relatively young think he has a shot at the nhl?

I don't think he will make the NHL with any regularity. He may be only 25 but I don't feel he has the size or physicality to play a bottom 6 role and I don't think he is strong enough offensively for a top 6 role at the NHL level.

I think his career path will be similar to Ben Walter, whom I also really like as an AHL player.

Good point about his size its hard to tell the size on the ****** feeds I have been watching the games on. I love his hockey IQ I hope he gets a shot at the nhl but I don't see it with the Flames as we have Horak, Nemisz, Byron, Reinhart all trying to get positions at center with Cammy, Cervenka, Stajan, and Backlund already on the Flames as center.

But it was a great signing for the Heat he has really added some depth to the team.

Also Danny Taylor seems to be a late bloomer he has been one of the top goalies in the AHL since he has joined the Flames does anyone think Feaster may offer him a 2 way deal?
