What is his future with the Flames? He seemed to play his role pretty well with Calgary. Does he have a roster spot on Calgary going forward?

He has been fantastic and its nice to FINALLY have a grit player who knows his role. Id honestly be disappointed if we didn't re-sign him.

Let Jackman or Begin walk and keep McGrattan. I think Hartley loves the guy as well so that bodes well for him.

I agree no doubt that a true heavy weight (who can play) is hard to find. Gratts needs to be the guy protecting all the young players on the team next year. I we let him go some other team will grab him.

100% chance that they resign him. Toughest guy in the league and a fan favorite.

We want him, the coaches love him, the GM and staff love him, and most importantly, he loves Calgary.

Will resign in Calgary.

Jackman used to carry the mail for the fourth line, but he looked for most of this year like a shadow of his former self. Physically, McGrattan seems to be in another league, to be honest. Seeing him up close is extremely intimidating. I would say he is more valuable than Jackman by far, especially when he's still able to score from time to time like he did against Anaheim.
