Chamakh makes it 7-5 and that should seal it. I think nobody played defence in this game.

Wait, are we still talking football? Sounds like a typical Bolts game. haha

Good thing I like Arsenal and dislike Reading.

I like Arsenal because of their club philosophy, but why the hate?

Nothing personal pal, I just never liked them. Hunt, uniforms, plus they cost me a lot of money back in the day.

I don't see how it could be personal, I just happen to live near the stadium. FWIW, I don't actually support Reading or any PL team, I just watch pretty much as many PL games I can just for the quality of the football on display.

I really wanted to see the underdog pull off an upset, though.

Thought you became a fan. Nevermind then.

Well, people tend to pull for the underdog, just not against Arsenal, who`s never "the bad guy".

Arsenal can be the bad guy. People thought they were killing football with the offside trap in the late 90s. Lot of similarities with being a Devils fan, honestly.

I was before I actually moved in, and realised that tickets were 20+ for a team that's about to get relegated. **** that noise.

To be honest if there's one PL team I could follow it would probably be Arsenal, because of their youth policy. I really value clubs that try to make their own gems rather than stealing those of others.

Hell, my main soccer team is more famous for its academy's products than the team itself, so that alone says something.

Case in point:

You can probably name all three of these players, but I bet you'd have a hard time naming their original club without googling it.

The players are easy. I know Ronaldo played for Sporting in Portugal. I dont know if Figo or Nani did

Thanks for proving my point. They all came from the same youth academy, and since you got one right...

It's a damn shame our team sucks, because the academy is right up there with Barcelona and Ajax.

Its tough. Most of the young stars go onto bigger leagues, or for more money.

Where`s Moutinho and Veloso? Shame on you.

People were/are stupid.

But still, since then, I`ve never ever seen anyone rooting against Arsenal. Not counting Spurs fans, obviously.

Because they haven't been a title threat in years.

Veloso hasn't been relevant in ages, and Moutinho bolted for money. **** him.

Well they both did, but at least when Veloso left, he actually went to the academy AFTER signing a contract in Italy to show his appreciation for what the people there did for him. I can't be mad at that.

Sure, but really, is there any reasonable reason to hate Arsenal? I don`t see any.

Neither do I, but reason is never really part of football fandom, is it?

You hate teams because of the past history your team has with them or they're the evil empire of the league. that's how it is.

Outta the League Cup.

Oh, well. I'm more concerned about making progress in the League and the Europa League.

I'm kind of happy about it to be honest. I mean, it's always nice to win, but I really don't think they have the depth to be thinking about the League Cup.

Precisely. Swansea fielded their strongest squad (which is quite good) while Liverpool started no more than three or four regulars.

And it's not like bigger clubs losing in the League Cup is a shock. Yesterday and today, Sunderland lost to Middlesbrough, Southampton lost to Leeds, Tottenham lost to Norwich, and Man United lost and conceded five goals to Chelsea.

On to Newcastle at Anfield on Sunday, lads. Onward.

I'm no fancy accountant, but I don't think a $200,000 trophy is make or break for a club as wealthy as Liverpool.

I really want to win on Sunday.

Yea

Our backline was Fletcher-Wootton-Keane-Rafael going up against Sturidge , Mata, Hazard, Oscar

No surprise really. We were up 3-2 till the 94th Minute. Lost 5-4

Quite Sad tbh. Chelsea played most their 1st side, while we had mainly reserves playing for us
