Same, Suarez did wonderfully to beat the defense, and he completely misses an empty net

Liverpool HAS to get a new forward to support Suarez at the next transfer window. The guy is a freakin monster but he just can't do it all by himself.

Very happy he didn't get a yellow today. Couldn't imagine the team without him against Chelsea next weekend.

Newcastle is being punished for the lack of spending over the summer with injuries (3 players injured today according to Pardew) and red cards (Colo and Tiote).

Similarly, Liverpool is punished for their lack of spending by dropping points all over the place when they probably shouldn't have. Still, if they are scoring goals but not winning points is the problem at the front or the back? It does go both ways. It can easily be argued that neither goal shouldve been scored today.

Hoping beyond hope that Newcastle manages a point this weekend but I can't see it happening. Carroll has something to prove and Nolan is coming back for the first time since his transfer last August. It's going to suck so horribly.

Well, that's disrespectful. Regardless of the way van Persie left, Arsenal fans should still respect him for what he's done for the club.

Easier said than done.

For most neutrals (and I share this view even if I'm starting to sway towards Arsenal), van Persie was "that guy", especially when a big name left the club. He was the face of the team, the guy who wasn't gonna let money blind him, the lifer.

So much for that. It still sickens me to see him in a Man U jersey. It feels so... wrong.

Ya, I know, the fact that he left still sucks, and going to Man U is pretty low, but it helps (for me at least) to know that part of the blame lies with Wenger for being really cheap about bringing in other quality transfers. If Wenger was more serious about improving the team he might have stayed.

So in that way he is better than, say, Ca$hŁey CoŁe who left a successful Arsenal squad simply for the money.

To bad he is terrible, and almost every single Arsenal fan wants him gone. Its a shame he most likely wont be starting the next time these two face because Gibbs will be back .

Wenger isn't cheap, his owner is. What do the Rams, Nuggets, and Avs all have common? They are all owned by Stan Kronke and they are at or near the bottom of their league payrolls. Arsenal is also owned by him. If he isn't going to spend on the local teams he owns why will he spend on a team half a world away?

Of course english soccer is a different animal than the American leagues as far as being able to compete on the cheap. They will spend enough to compete for Champions League to keep that revenue coming in, but that is it.

Drogba leaves Chelsea - Hero.
Van Persie leaves Arsenal - Worst human being on face of the planet.

What does Arsenal, ManUtd and Liverpool have in common? They all have won one game @ Anfield.

And yeah, Kroenke is the real problem. I`m actually amazed that Wenger is able to build a competitive squad with what he gets year in year out.

Drogba had the decency to cash in and leave for China right after winning a Champions League trophy. Van Persie left under different circumstances to a rival within the EPL.

After scoring the game winning penalty, no less. What a way to go out.

Still hating on Robben for that game.

I stand behind the net during warmups, VERY nice guy. In general all 4 keepers on the roster are some of the nicest guys on the team.

You're right, very little fazes him. Never seen him raise his voice at a player or anything. Gaudette is 100% now. The fact the team stays with Robles speaks volumes to me. Seems like a calm leader and someone the team is confident with.

Can't decide if I'm happy or frustrated with the draw at DC. Going into the game, I would have been fine with the result, as I'm confident enough with RBNY's chances at home. But given the way the match went, especially the 2nd half (including the man advantage for 15+ minutes)... its frustrating that they didn't even get more legitimate opportunities, let alone a go ahead goal. As long as they show up ready to play on Wednesday, I'll be ok with it.

Just bought tix for Wed of SH. It is sold out on the RB site. I doubt itll be a packed house considering the fact that brokers bought a lot of tix and that the weather should suck and that its a weekday game, but still, its a good sign.
