Harti and MPS are producing enough offense, Lander is still sitting on a goose egg though... Literally zero points this season so far. Probably shouldn't be in the top-6 but the line as a whole has looked good the past few games so it's hard to separate them I guess.

As for OKC's issues it's from the backend (aside from Schultz)

It's a very green blueline with Schultz, Fedun, Marincin, and Davidson all in their rookie seasons. It also doesn't help that OKC has all right handed dmen aside from Marincin and Davidson (who is out for cancer treatment).

Tonight they're dressing this defense:

Marincin(L)-Schultz(R)
Fedun(R)-Teubert(R)
Plante(R)-Henry(R)

so not only is the blueline full of rookies but you have a bunch of guys playing the wrong position. The goaltending hasn't been exactly great either aside from a game or two by Danis.

They need a good veteran LH dman and Green needs to come back.

Bridgeport could use a RH defenseman, since Hamonic is the only one. Can AHL trades still happen?

Albany at 4 - 5 - 4....went 0 for 4 in shootouts while running an 8.5% PP. I think they made out pretty well, especially getting Gelinas back this week.

OKC @ Charlotte on Saturday. The Checkers are the top team in the league in points so far. Regional broadcast on cable, so you can bet streams will be available.

Should be a good one.

I fully expect Eberle to lead the league in scoring by the end of the year.

Also, Hartikainen is definitely an NHLer at this point. Sometimes looks like a man amongst boys out there.

It's an AHL thread, is it not?
The Barons have a bunch of notable players and were hyped heavily going into the season so of course they will be talked about frequently. Anybody is free to discuss their own teams, are they not? You don't have to click on the thread if you don't like it.

Anyway..... The Barons are still 9-5-1 despite having underachieved thus far so they'll be fine. The players who are expected to be good have been good for the most part and secondary guys like Hartikainen and Marincin have been playing very well despite Marincin making some rookie mistakes.

I echo the above sentiments of Nino doing well. It's great seeing a kid who struggled in his rookie season follow it up with a strong 2nd season despite some of the ridiculous bust claims around here.
Hopefully Paajarvi follows suit, his offense still hasn't caught up to his defensive game, not sure if it ever will sadly.

Whether you like it or not were probably the most interesting team to focus on right now.

This, other then keeping up with syracuse, I find myself always seeing how the Barons are doing due to their 4 super youngsters.

Looking forward to it and I'll have a GDT on the Oilers board if you'd like to borrow it. Faulk has been among the leaders in D scoring all season long and it looks like you guys have a lot of offense being generated from your D so they should keep our wingers busy in our defensive zone. Lots of balanced scoring for you club, that is something that we've lacked. I'm also really looking forward to it to see if the Barons can match up with such a solid team.

Well, if you're an Oilers fan.

OKC's interesting no doubt, but the thread could have a little more love for Bridgeport & Charlotte - I think all teams' situations are interesting for trying to gauge how these kids can fare in the NHL. The homer in me finds the Bridgeport/Isles situation to be one too watch; it looks as though despite the painfully slow speed, Snow may have gotten a few things right.

P.S.: wasn't your duck wearing a turban before, or am I crazy??

Their PP has finally woke up though after being 0 for 33.
I am really surprised the devils are in such a state tbh.

Oh I definitely keep tabs on Bridgeport however they are in the Eastern Conference so I haven't seen them yet this year. Charlotte and Abbotsford both deserve props however I have yet to see Charlotte, seeing them twice this weekend means that I'll have something to say about them other than the whole "most points in the WC and best goal differential" lines. They look really deep, great on special teams and have 3 very offensive defensemen, IMO OKC will need to bring their A games or they'll be embarrassed.

I don't see why not, do you guys have any LHD available for a RHD? I could see us moving Alex Plante for a LHD as that would still leave us with Schultz, Fedun, Teubert, and Henry as RHD.

What are his pluses and minuses? Plante is pretty slow, but a big body who will stand up for his teammates even though he's not the best pugilist.

Wow the Checkers are good. Can't imagine how they'd be with Skinner in the lineup.
Dalpe is a beast.

A very solid team, Faulk and Sanguinetti are offensive threats from their D, Dalpe and Boychuk are threats from their forward group. Dalpe has a wicked hard wrister. IMO the Checkers are probably the best team that we've played so far this season.

Obviously you've got the Barons but the Griffins aren't getting nearly enough love here.

You've got a team with a likely first line NHLer, (Nyquist) a possible top four NHL defender, (Smith) a guy who should be in the NHL and probably won't be this year, lockout or not, (Tatar) and a goalie who seemingly brings a contagious winning attitude to whatever team he plays on. (Mrazek)

Then you factor in that guys like Billins and Almqvist are playing way better than expected.

It'd honestly be scary if Jarnkrok had been allowed to make the jump to the AHL this year.
