Looks like Vatanen has slowed down considerably after his hot start. How has Hampus Lindholm looked?

Looks like they did ok

I'm actually watching the game now on DVR now, so can't comment on how it went.

Make sure you catch today's game, hopefully it'll be as exciting of a game as yesterday's was. Sadly that might be the closest we'll get to NHL hockey this year

Brayden Schenn is having a better season than any other forward in the AHL.

1 point behind Eberle w/o the unsustainable SH% that Eberle has.

Not to mention he's centering a line with Shane Harper and Tye McGinn.

Who?

Exactly.

2nd in points for FWD's while being tied for 3rd in SOG.

Didn't we hear this crap last year? You know when he shot 18.9% in the NHL? I'd venture to guess that with the Phantoms lack of offense that Schenn and Couturier are getting the lions share of the ice when the same cannot be said of Eberle.

Eberle gets to play on a line with RNH and Hall, with Schultz on D.

Schenn gets Harper, McGinn, Gustafsson and Bourdon.

Quite a difference.

Eberle will regress. Unless you're telling me he has as good of a shot as Stamkos.

Much more likely that Schenn regresses than Eberle does.

I can't believe how well the Griffins are playing. They might not keep it up, but they're really playing like a cohesive team right now. 9-1 in their last 10. 8 game winning streak.

2nd highest GPG in the league too. Just being on OKC's level in that regard is impressive.

Edit: 2nd highest. Syracuse is higher now.

Schenn's AHL stats before this season:

2010-2011 12 GP, 4 G, 7 A, 11 PTS

2011-2012 7 GP, 6 G, 6 A, 12 PTS

Total: 19 GP, 10 G, 13 A, 23 PTS (1.21)

2012-2013 17 GP, 9 G, 13 A, 22 PTS (1.29)

It's ok, the sooner you realize that Eberle is not going to continue with that SH% (either in the AHL/NHL), the easier it will be when he regresses.

Since when did shooting percentage tell anything about shot power, shot speed, shot release, shot accuracy.

Someone posted in the other eberle thread, his shooting percentage in junior was insane, it was insane in the AHL, it was insane in the NHL, its insane in the AHL again.

Maybe as much as HF wants Eberle to crash and burn he might actually be a player and not a 1 year fluke? I know its hard to believe but it could happen.

Having said that Im not into the Eberle hype as most oiler fans and could see his points go down but it wouldnt be because of shooting percentage. Most of his shots are from pretty close in, he somehow manages to worm his way into open ice close to goalies. People talk like he just skates down the wing and is ripping wristers past goalies

The whole team has slowed down since their hot start but Lindholm has been very impressive and has been the Ads best overall defenseman so far this year.

His shot isn't as good as Stamkos' but he has better hands forsure.

He scored 34 goals on only 190 shots playing 17 mins a night, with more ice time he'll get more shots and should have no trouble potting 30 again.

What's your argument here? That Schenn is better than eberle? Seriously?

Barons look really good against the checkers right now. If it wasn't for some bad penalties and some nice saves by ellis they would be dominating here.

Someone had better let Eberle know that his shooting percentage is unsustainable soon...

The goaltending has really taken the wind out of the team's sails. Lindholm, Etem, and Wagner are the only guys that have continued to improve in that time; I suppose Clark has been decent.

As for Lindholm, I'd say he's moved past Vatanen on the depth chart. If we had a season this year, I'd expect him to see time in Anaheim.

Back-to-back two goal games for Eberle

Hall has three 3 point games in a row. Schultz gets 4 points today as well.

Eberle does not waste opportunities. Kid is unreal.

Is it possible his shooting percentage is so good because he has an insanely accurate shot? Just a thought.

And what is this arguement even about? Are you saying his success has been fluke?

Look I can bring stat lines out too:

Eberle:
37 AHL games, 18 G, 28 A, 46 P

You're right though, it's been a fluke both in the NHL and AHL.
