ECHL Prospects?

Moving to a city in ECHL territory and I'm excited to finally get to watch some live hockey again. My question: Are there any big time prospects in the ECHL I should be watching for? Who I should definitely mark on my calendar?

Stanislav Galiev of the Reading Royals is the one that comes to mind for me. Also Brandon Dubinsky, Scott Gomez and Joey Crabb play for the Alaska Aces. Toni Rajala of the Stockton Thunder was once highly touted too.

Thanks! Exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for.

Sometimes you'll find goalie prospects in the ECHL getting lots of playing time when their AHL affiliate already has a starter.

I don't think that there any big time prospects in the ECHL, but from the Leafs their better prospects that play in the ECHL are:

Sam Carrick (Idaho Steelheads)
Andrew Crescenzi (San Francisco Bulls)
Jamie Devane (San Francisco Bulls)
Mark Owuya (Las Vegas Wranglers)(Goaltender)

Another guy that isn't a prospects, but very exciting to watch is Yannick Tifu (Reading Royals). Highly skilled offensive forward.

Michael Houser and Josh McFarland were very impressive tonight. They're in Cincinnati

That's the case for the Oilers with Bunz down in Stockton

Came to post Bunz in Stockton. Even though he's having a very avg first year as a pro. About on the same stat line as Wedgewood .

A few more guys that haven't been mentioned:

Mitch Wahl (Utah Grizzlies) - Flames 2nd round pick in 2008. Was named to the 2009-10 WHL (West) First All-Star Team. Has played the majority of the past two seasons with the Grizzlies putting up 69 points in 60 games over that time.

Marcel Noebels (Trenton Titans) – Flyers 4th round pick in 2011. In my opinion, he has a future in the NHL. By the end of the season he should be leading the Titans in points.

Austin Smith (Idaho Steelheads) – Stars 5th round pick in 2007. In his senior season at Colgate University put up an NCAA leading 36 goals and was a finalist for the Hobey Baker. Doing well in the ECHL, and should be in the AHL soon though.

Alex Mallet (Kalamazoo Wings) – Canucks 2nd round pick in last year’s draft. I don’t think I've seen an early-round draft pick go straight to the ECHL, that in and of itself would make me want to see him despite his struggles thus far.

Philipp Grubauer (Reading Royals) – Capitals 4th round pick in 2010. Two-time ECHL goalie of the month. Should be in the AHL.
