Pats win tomorrow they will are in control of the second seed (damn screw up by Schwarz on Thanksgiving and the Pats would probably be the number one seed)
Arizona got shellacked 51-0 and have one road win- over the Patriots.
Wow, talk about the stars all lined up- the Patriots could put 50 on those guys right now. damn that loss hurts right about now
Can't wait to hear all the media, and NFL fans lambasting the Seahawks and Pete Caroll about running up the score on Arizona! Oh wait it won't happen since its not the Patriots.

Great value for a 5th rounder. I remember the outrage when they took him.
Media had taken a harsh tone towards Shanahan because of the McNabb fiasco
Somehow it was Shanahan's fault that McNabb was out of shape and couldn't play anymore ,, Benching him for Rex Grossman was treated like a big outrage (Truth is Grossman was better QB then a fading McNabb)
One thing people should never doubt is Shanahan's work with young QB's
- He helped Elway develop as OC
- He helped turn Young's career around as OC (Young credits him with reviving his career)
- He turned a young Brian Griese into a pro bowler
- He turned around Plummer's career
- He drafted and developed Cutler
He was waiting for a chance to develop a QB in Washington. Thought he could pull a Plummer with Grossman and obviously that failed (Also tried to turn Beck into something despite how much Beck sucks)
I think on the rivalry list, San Diego and Indianapolis have been replaced by Baltimore and starting tonight Houston. Really looking forward a fresh new rival.

Never really hated the Chargers but the team I can't stand the most will always be the Steelers. They are my Habs of the NFL

I feel the same about Pittsburgh, which is why that's probably my favorite rivalry the last ten years. Such a contrast of styles, strengths, and off field talking

Eh SD was never really a rival per se for me. I don't like SD because LT was a ****** ans Phillip Rivers is a cry baby, but overall I never hated them either like I did with Indy, DENVER UGH, and Baltimore. There's always the Jets too, but lets be serious, they aren't a rival, they suck too much and are trending downward.
I wouldn't be so quick to replace Indy either, they took a year off and have already reloaded with Andrew Luck.
For me right now though, their rivals right now are Baltimore and no one else.
Imagine if we play both Afc and Nfc North in the same year
Houston 11-1
Denver 10-3
Chicago 8-5
Greenbay 9-4
Minny 7-6
Steelers 7-6
Ravens 9-4
Cincy 7-6........All potential play-off teams and 68- 35
Browns Been in every game this year
Lions Cake walk.
Jets Fins Bills x2

Lions are far from a cake walk. They're the epitome of a stupid football team. They easily could be 8-4. Evey single one of the their loses has been by 8 points of less, aka one score games except to Minnesota who they lost by 10 to.

I never really considered the Chargers a rival. Over the past decade or so it's pretty much been the Colts & Jets.

This is crazy. There was genuine animosity between those teams.
They were much more a rival than Baltimore is now. I don't feel much of anything towards Baltimore. Just a tough opponent we play good games with. No real hate there. The coaches respect each other, the players generally speak with respect for the others, no cheapshots, no gloating.

For like what, a season....maybe two. Thats not a rival, not in my book. A rival is a team that is always there, year after year. Think Bruins/Habs, Oilers/Flames, Sox/Yanks, Bears/Packers, Pats/Jets, those are rivals.

See, that's the beauty of fandom. Every fan has their own take on rivalries.
I feel like the Ravens are a legitimate rival, although I think it's stronger on their end, because the Pats are the mountain they never seem to be able to conquer. As a fan, though, I do have some genuine hate for the Ravens.
I also felt the animosity for the Chargers, but that seems like old news right now. It's been too long since they were really relevant as a Pats opponent.
The Jets however, and the Giants too, are big rivals in my mind. Even in games where they're not playing the Pats, I want them to lose.
