Kristo will fit nicely with the Habs and Montréal (suspended 1 game)
Quote:
Let's wait for some facts, if we ever get some. Yes, it's unfortunate that he got caught, but at least it wasn't during his team's regular season. Kids in college get drunk, it happens.

I can't believe that a 22 year old hockey player went to a party...He should be banned from all hockey.
I really hope that people don't make a big deal about this. He is of age and went to a party and drank. We have all done it and probably done much worse.
I would venture to say that half the NHL is out partying the night before games and you don't hear a peep. In fact I have seen professional sports players at the bars into the wee hours of the morning when I know they have to play the next day. This is not a big deal in my eyes.
I still think he is going to be an NHL regular.
GO Kristo!

I played University hockey, the difference between me Kristo and the other 90% of University players is Kristo and his gang got caught, we didn't.
This guy will never sign with us, it's written in the sky...
There have been reports of maturity and attitude problems with this kid for a while now. He nearly ruined his career due to idiotic partying which resulted in frostbite from getting locked out in his socks.
He is clearly a brat at this point who should have turned pro if he had any drive and focus. He is young and things can change but there are some serious red flags with Kristo at this point. I fully expect all of the posters who defended Kostitsyn to come running to his rescue but he was also proven to be a bum who couldn't land an NHL job.
If you are thick enough to lump his responsibilities in with the general population of a college campus then you don't have a clue about the level of dedication and commitment that are required to make it into the NHL.
Doesn't seem like the brightest guy...Didn't he have such severe frostbite on his foot to the point that they almost had to amputate a few toes last year? He decided to walk in the snow barefoot..

I'll wait till he does something serious to pass judgement, he is legal drinking age and in university he shouldn't be suspended unless he shows up to practice drunk. Hell that's all me and my roomates did drink like 4 times a week.
Maybe he did, but since it was announced a couple hours ago I doubt he's had time to sit down with him. He (Or Lapointe for that matter) should really sit down with Danny and give him a reality check.

That's 100% true, but when you have a good chance to make the NHL, and in turn a lot of money, you should probably be more careful.

It says "conduite innacceptable". How do you guys know all he did was go to a party and get drunk. There could be more to it than just that.

I don't understand how they got caught though, you'd think a school like UND that's more known for hockey than academics would give these guys a lot of rope.
