HFBoards Top 30 Centers - List Complete

I thought it would be a good idea to have the complete list here so we can compare it to future lists. Any thoughts you want to share are also welcome.

IMO the list is surprisingly accurate. Not very far off from what i would've done myself. Personally i would've included Ribeiro there somewhere at the bottom.

What do you think?

Pretty accurate, besides RNH and J.Staal being too high on the list.

I'd swap it around similar to that personally.

Fairly good for a HF list, but a few players are a little higher up than I'd be willing to say is a difference in opinion. Koivu, Staal and RNH specifically.

RNH I could see an argument for being around where he is or slightly higher by the end of next season, but I can't agree he should be that high as of now.

PS: I'd include a HM spot for the top 2-3 point getters from the last poll.

Giroux has one elite season and he's suddenly better than Datsyuk. Makes no sense.

I think Riberio should've been ahead of Plek. If he plays all 82 games he's good for at least 70+ points.

So Ribs would have a few more pts but he sucks defensively.
offensively ribs > Pleks
Defensively Pleks >>> Ribs.
Pleks deserves to be ahead of Ribs.

I agree. I was voting for him after Krejci went up.

It's pretty accuarate, nothing major to dispute about. However if i'm trying to win the cup NEXT season I don;t think i'd choose RNH over any of the guys below him. This list will probably be real different by the end of next season too.

Ribeiro has more than "a few more" points on Plekanec.

I'd say that it's a pretty good list after all. Not perfect, but still good.

Giroux is a Star on His way up, while still great, Datsyuk is on the downside of His career.

Love Grabo, but all 30 on this list are better IMO. Grabo would be close to 30 though.

Tavares is too high, only beef.

Would have slotted him in the 11-14 range.

My only problem is that I think Backstrom is better than Spezza and Kopitar. Besides that, I agree with the list.

RNH is probably too low on the list. If he hadn't gotten injured I don't think there would be the same level of discomfort with RNH on HF. It's a similar situation with Hall. HF loves Eberle but most Oiler fans would rank him behind Hall and RNH.

Well the question doesn't specifically ask about a cup run. I do think he has a lot of value for a playoff team though - your PP would instantly become absolutely lethal in a situation where goals are hard to come by.

I would say that top 15 is more accurate than 16-30, but that's to be expected.

if you agree with all three being below toews and all three being above thornton, it's not much of a quibble.

Considering Pavelski > Couture, the list isn't that great.

Pavelski is easily one of the most underrated players in the NHL.
