Where's Gomer fit in if he's buried in minors??? Or are we banking on that amnesty clause in the CBA? Serious question, not just making another Gomez joke
I think the amnesty clause is likely since it makes sense to both players and teams. Gomer would rather sign somewhere at a discount that riding buses in the AHL.

Probably out west somewhere or near New York(Binghamton). That being said with any cap rollback I expect some amnesty buyouts. I wouldn't be surprised if the union pushes for that...1 amnesty buyout every 4-5 years so guys don't end up AHL because of their contract like Redden Huet and others.
I'm glad I won't get to see Darche in the top 9 anymore but the guy had its uses. Not everyone on the team has to be a star.. need those glue guys as well.

Still don't understand the hate by some for Darche

It's because he was being used in places that he should not have been. Not his fault, but the people putting him there were hated too. Guilt by association.

Gomez doesn't belong in the minors until the NHL unlocks the doors. I would also assume that Gomez gets another chance to prove his worthlessness. But if not why pay him now while everyone is locked out. Just waive and ship him down after the lockout.
Geoffrion-Leblanc-Palushaj (good Habs line if the season started, in a limited role)
Blunden-Bournival-Gallagher (two great skaters, one big guy to protect them)
Quailer-Nattinen-Dumont (Nattinen and Dumont could become effective 4th liners)
Ouellet-Holland-Stortini ( Holland gets experience playing with vets)
Fortier and Schultz as reserves. Avtsyn can return to Russia.
I like the defense. Period.
Would love to see Desjardins play his way to Montréal.
Fortier is probably no longer an NHL prospect, but I have a hard time seeing him outside Hamilton's top 12 forwards. Being one of the Bulldogs' most trusted forwards when healthy at 22 years old, I don't imagine he'll be expected to regress at 23?

I'd rather see Dumont play center on the forth than on the wing and I'd rather see Blunden play center and move Bournival on the LW.
