It also avoids having two small, similiar fowards on the same line and would also allow granlund to focus slightly more on offense.

Brodin has played 1 game in 11 weeks. He is far from first pairing material at this pt in time. Him and stoner, in theory, would compliment each other very well. Plus those bottom pairings would be pretty interchangable depending on who is playing better.

They could just switch the wingers (like someone said on jatkoaika.com).

Bouchard - Granlund - Clutterbuck

It could work.

If Brodziak is moved up to the second line, he would play wing, Granlund will be staying at center.

I don't know what to say. I like it, but I don't like Brodziak - Cullen - Setoguchi. And Clutterbuck is lacking offense.

I'd rather have Bouchard - Granlund - Brodziak to be honest. Gives Granlund a cycle partner and the defensive player so he can focus more on his offense. Also, Brodziak is decent at face-offs so he can step in ifwhen Granlund is thrown out.

I don't mind Clutter - Cullen - Seto, either. Or if we want to mix it even more, Mitchell - Cullen - Seto. That would leave Clutter at 4th line, so it would be Powe - Konopka - Clutterbuck. Boom.

You're welcome Yeo.

Parise-koivu-heatley
Bouchard-Granlund-setoguchi
Cullen-Brodziak-clutterbuck

Seto has been OK, physically. He shall have another chance (last one though)

Spell check automatically capitalizes words, get over it. I'll take a post of a few random capitalizations over a post of somebody complaining about it, it's really starting to get old.

How often do we really need to argue about grammar? As long as you can still get the point they're making there's no need to be a control freak.

i wasn't. Just the talk of having 2 scoring lines rather than balanced then bringing up Brodizak and have Bouchard on the third. And Brodin on the 3rd is probably right, but I won't be able to come to grips with that. If hes 100% he should play 2nd pairing.

I have been advocating moving Cullen down for a while now, even before the season started, but I think we all need to relax and let the chemistry form. There was basically no training camp and zero preseason games. Everything is a few weeks behind what it would usually be at in the beginning of a season.

Sorry to be that guy, but I have Granlund in a keeper league and was wondering how he's looked? Does he look like he'll produce well this year, on the verge of a big year next? Or is he on track for a slower progression? I'd be ecstatic if he got some first line time and one of Heatley/Parise was bumped to line 2 to spread the offence around.

I am considering keeping him for the long term investment and sucking it up, I could drop him for a player like Plekanec but that would probably be short term gain for long term loss.

Cheers, I have a huge soft spot in my heart for the Wild and hope they do well, I've visited Minny a few times and you guys deserve a playoff team.

The line is looking slow to Gel. And Granlund is having flashes of good and bad. The good is he is still generating scoring chances for himself and his line mates. The Bad he seems to be getting pushed around a bit. Long term he will be fine, tough call on how things end up going this year.

Hopefully he'll shine a bit more in the next 10 games. I want to see a multipoint night already and some awesome no-look passes! Granlund needs some more hockey IQ on his line and Bouchard really needs to get more ES minutes to get going. Sounds like there is something there that at least needs to be tried.

he needs to hit the gyms hard in the offseason and build up some more muscle. he is getting pushed around out there a lot. get a little beef on him and turn up the aggressiveness a bit and he will produce more.

Doubt it is his muscle strength that makes him a pushover. He's got improve his poise and balance and move a little more. He's usually just falling on his knees. Isn't too dangerous but it's hard to make a good play in such a position.

Clutterbuck has 11 of those 3rd line shots. But if you count his misses, I believe he has taken over 100 this year. In warm-ups the other night, he took a shot and missed the net. Doesn't sound like anything odd, but he was standing in the paint at the time!

Any chance to see granlund at the wing of 2nd line? This defensive game goes "ok" but it takes away the situations when theres actually room on the offensive zone. At wing he would get the puck when wilds force a turnover and would have the room that cullen and seto are now getting in those situations.
