Same could be said about the following former CHL team communities:
Cornwall (Royals)
*Guelph (Platers)
Hamilton (Dukes, Fincups/Red Wings, Steelhawks...)
*Mississauga (Ice Dogs)
Newmarket (Royals)
Niagara Falls (Flyers, Thunder)
*Saint Catharines (Black Hawks, Fincups)
Toronto (Majors)
*Active club exists today
The bottom line is this, if the ownership group is in place, if an agreement is in place with the city's facility, if the board of governors gives their blessings to the deal & (the big if) if the community financially supports the team by purchasing the necessary amount of season's tickets (regardless of the community), then by all means, this should happen.
Bidzey, a team in North Bay only
enhances Sudbury's viability. Don't tell me you're afraid of the CTV spotlight being taken away from the Wolves
Anyways, we'll see if this announcement actualizes or not this evening.
