Im talking about there absolute max not what they most likely will be. Im drafting guys with 2.5 stars that are getting to 76 overall.

Also, in the draft, when it shows a players potential is that accurate? or does it depend on how much you scouted them to tell if its their actual potential?

While we're talking about players potential what is the difference between potential in white, yellow, and green. I figured white is when a player has reached their max potential, but the difference between yellow and green?

Green - More then likely to grow
Yellow - Good chance to grow
White - Probably wont grow
Red - Might decline but still can go up but very unlikely

Go to the individual player in scouting and go to their profile. It shows the scale there. White - accurate, Green - fairly accurate, Yellow - semi accurate, and Red - not accurate.

Ps - to all of us losers, the draft priority tab has opened up.

Isn't that for their current overall in each category?

As usual EA fails, if u look at a players details while in the priority list it reset any changes you've made to the list.

Tampa Bay beat me by one point to win the division!
At least I made sixth place, fine by me.

On a side note, the Ducks, NYI, and Jets all have the exact same record for fifth worst in the league. Who gets the last lottery pick?

Sorry to say Toronto, but it seems quite frequent that you will lose the lottery. In offline be a gm the worst team seems to lose the lottery about 75% of the time haha.

That seems about right. I generally see it as players will likely progress to their potential +/- 0.5 stars. In very rare circumstances, they will go below that, or above that.

As for the draft, from what I've seen, if you've scouted that player, the potential you see when scouting will be that player's potential. The only time I've seen it change was with players that I had not scouted.

The colours (red, yellow, green) determine how likely it is the player will reach that potential. Once a player has reached his potential (around age 27), their potential rating will turn to white, and it will increase (or decrease) to match that player's current overall.

Gotta love Boston pulling an Ottawa and winning all their games at the end of the season shooting them out of range for a top 5 pick.

Dallas shot themselves into a playoff spot.

Against the Detroit Red Wings.

The two teams I didn't want in the first round were Anaheim and your Stars. Some reason every game this season that I can recall between both clubs had Anaheim winning in OT/SO a couple times and Dallas spanking me in regulation.

Hopefully that doesn't happen for my sake but I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see an upset there.

I have no idea how the sim works to be honest. I am going to do a sim when I get home later today, and I guess we will find out...
