An objective analysis of the Rangers top 4 D?

Anyone know how to go about doing an analysis of the advanced stats of the Rangers top 4 D (McD, Staal, Girardi, MDZ)?

More for the defensive side of things since it's a bit harder to see minus the fact that MDZ is the worst defensively out of the three and the best offensively.
