Couple Preds off to play overseas and more EDIT: Rinne to KHL
I'm hearing that Josi is heading out tomorrow for Switzerland and Hornquist has already left for Sweden.
Also hearing that Blum is heading off to Milwaukee sometime this weekend.

Can these guys playing overseas leave their European teams if/when the lockout is lifted? Can they just pack up and leave mid-season to get back to the Preds?

No problem. We just have to make sure the information can be confirmed is all.

The NHL has a transfer agreement in place with every professional European league (AFAIK). Once the lock out is lifted their NHL contracts should take precedent. Any team signing an NHL player has to do so knowing that it's a temporary thing, and the contract itself should reflect that with an out clause of some sort.
Of course, that's just me assuming.

I am really hoping that somehow, someway, Weber and Josi end up on the same lockout team and play on a pairing. Don't see it happening though.

Shea has $13 million dollars minus taxes and fees. I don't want him to get hurt, I'd rather him not play.

Craig Smith
He plays in the same line with a top-3 player in the league,
Sakari Salminen , who is smaller but faster and more talented stickhandler than Smith. Anyway they are tearing the league apart.

Cooper read my mind, a few hours after I posted this he posted an update on everyone and what they've done so far.
Anyone watched any KHL games on ESPN3 yet? (If they've started broadcasting them)

Anyone else semi worried that Weber isn't playing anywhere keeping his game legs fresh?

Are you also worried about the other hundreds of NHL players that have, or haven't, done the same? I'm sure he'll be alright. Probably skating on his own or with teammates in make-shift practices. Not the same as game action with adrenaline pumping, but he's staying in shape.
Since other updates have been posted, SK had a goal and an assist in his debut with Avangard, then scored the game winning goal in the following match.
