I don't like the new Bonds that much either, this despite the fact that I've seen all of the old ones at least five or six times each. I watched the new ones once. Couldn't even tell you the plots of either.

Agreed.
For adventure / pursuit, etc., I'd rather watch a Bourne than a more recent Bond, and the Bourne's are pretty devoid of plot.
The the Connery-era Bonds (my preference - even the remake of Thunderball with Kim Basinger) had the recurring nemesis.
Moore Bonds got a little campy at times.

My list of James Bond actors from favorite to least favorite..

Roger Moore
Sean Connery
Daniel Craig
Pierce Brosnan
Timothy Dalton

All the other actors are too insignificant to even list

The movies were awful but Brosnan is still the much better bond IMO.

I have no idea how people ever get their Fed-Ex or UPS packages that require signatures. I'm just never, EVER home during the time they deliver.

Requiring signatures when you deliver packages at a time when almost everybody is working or at school is beyond stupid.

My guy would deliver at lunch time. I worked close enough to home that if I had one coming, I'd go home for lunch and it'd be there.

Dear brain,

You don't have to worry about your old store anymore. Please stop.

Sincerely,

Me and my desire to not wake up to worrying about someplace I no longer work.

Are you refering to FedEx/UPS package deliveries or is there something else you're trying to tell us?

I'd do anything for an afternoon delight.

From a lady, of course.

I have to say I enjoy somehow getting both the Rochester and Syracuse PBS stations here at my new apartment. Why? Because they have a different programming schedule and there's something Nolan likes on either of them at any given time. When you don't have cable to keep him occupied, that's a pretty big deal.

Now I just have to hope that it gets to stay on the air past November....

I gotta say, Radiohead's show on Austin City Limits last night was awesome. Go PBS!

You ever seen "Goon"? I can't say that it was objectively a good movie but I did enjoy watching it.

My wife made s'mores cupcakes for our birthdays.

(They'll be topped with a marshmellow frosting as well)

You may start your jealousy now

Well, my wife hit pause, too.

Hopefully she's listening to her BFF more than her mom. I have a feeling her BFF sees that the painful route is a worse option more than her mom appears to.

I also loved how wanting her to listen to what the marriage counselor wanted us to do was demanding that we do things my way....

Craig portrays the real Bond much better than Brosnan. Brosnan is more charismatic, but I like Craig's bond a lot, the story and the personality of the recent movies isn't as exciting or happy for lack of a better word as the ones in the past but his performances are what make the movies bearable IMO.
