Priority is set. When will we be able to retain/cut ties with our own FA's?

I believe it's immediately after the draft is simmed. There might be more than one sim period of it, but I'm not entirely sure.

I believe you have 4 (maybe 3) advances to resign your own players. I think there is an advance between the draft and the first day of the resigning window as well. It then goes to July 1, when you can make offers for UFAs. I think it then skips by two-week increments through the rest of the summer.

The offseason is a pain to deal with.

Yeah...sounds like it. Well then the draft is tomorrow, Friday. A normal sim schedule gives us about a week of resigning players.

If it weren't for you saying that you won't be around until Sunday I had considered expediting the process to go one sim per day after the draft.

On the other hand, I can't just stop everything for one guy, so I have to keep things moving. If De La Hoya is right and we get 3-4 phases of resigning, you should come back with at least 2 phases.

Worst case scenario, if you couldn't be involved in it at all, I'd ask if you'd want me to boot you but hold your spot until you rejoin so that at the least you could have the CPU resign SOME of your players, but that shouldn't be necessary.

I wouldn't bet the house on what I said, and it is much harder to sign your own players because you only get a few cracks--not the 7 or whatever you get offline.

EDIT: Actually, I'm at the end of a GM Connected season now that I ran for myself. I'll let you know how it works shortly.

Just lettingyou know that in another league the CPUs didn't sign even one of their UFAs. You get 1 sim per day from June 23-June 30/31st. But just do the one sim per day, that's a week avail.

EDIT: LOOKING FOR A TOP 5/10 PICK. SIMMONDS+ AVAIL DEPENDING ON WHERE.

Alright, I appreciate it. I'm not simming to free agency until tomorrow anyway, so we have at least 2 days to sort it out.

I ended up not simming through te whole thing last ngiht. It takes a while.

So far, though, I can confirm that there are at least five disinct advances between the end of the cup finals and the 2nd day of re-signing.

Phase 1 - Jun. 23 - "Set Draft Priority"
Phase 2 - Jun. 23 - Draft
Phase 3 - June 24-25 - "Prep for Re-Sign Phase" (basically, you can just view your roster)
Phase 4 - June 26 - "Re-sign players"
Phase 5 - June 27 - Resign

I'll try to run the rest today, but, at minimum, you should be able to do a double-advance for 1 + 2 and 3+ 4. No reason to waste a day just so people can view their upcoming free agents, and since we can set our draft priority now, that shouldn't need to be a separate thing either.

Alright, I appreciate the heads-up. I'll be out of town in Providence today for an AHL road trip game (Go Albany), so I've handed over commissioner duties to to NYR, who I know really well and I also have his phone number. I just told him to sim twice tonight.
