Does your players performance have an effect on how much they improve between seasons? All my players that should have gotten better are now somehow worse than they were last year and want more money. Horton dropped down to an 84 and is asking for 6 million dollars. Seguin and Marchand should be higher than 82 and 84. Rask is alot better than 83.

If a player turns down our first offer do we get another chance to resign him?

yea u get a couple chances, u get more chances with RFAs so at least get ur tender offer in , but u gotta make sure to get the UFAs in time before they go to free agents. if i remember its only 2 advances before anyone can pick up free agents.

I just joined the league, so whatever everyone else things is fine, but why would we need 48 hours to send out UFA offers?

Because some people are busy/away/forget/... for that day, and then get screwed and have to get the sloppy seconds.

Yeah, I guess that's fair enough. Hopefully the other days can be one-day advances though.

Looking to trade Simmonds-RW-83 overall-4 star for a 4.5 LW/D/G prospect+LW around 80 overall.
And Kubina/Grossmann/Mezaros+Couturier is available.

Sorry I haven't posted I've been sick as a dog the last couple of days. In case you don't know or just got in, I'm the assistant commish for Zetterberg.

To answer a few questions, I won't be simming at all until Zetterberg takes over again, so you should have until Sunday to make your offers. Thanks again for playing fellas!

I've made at least 30 home games a year for the last 4 years, and 1-3 road trips. My spot is right above the visitors' tunnel because I do so love my heckling.

I think that performance makes an impact, but it's not a particularly large impact. Also, you have to take the overalls with a grain of salt because:

A. I had a friend who once just for the fun of it put a guy with 99 in every stat in a GM game last season. He started at 97 overall and despite not regressing at all in any stats, he dropped to 94 overall the next season. At least in the initial year, overall is not indicative of any skill.
B. They seem to have reworked the overall system this year, and a complete player has better overall with an all-around skillset. Zherdev is a 74 overall despite having very high puck skills, shooting, and skating, because he has no defensive abilities whatsoever.

I planned that anyway. Even if you're around, you might want that extra day to go bargain hunting on low overall players.

Marc Staal on the trade block

EDIT: Lundqvist also available for another decent goalie (mid 80's) and some prospects

Simming tonight, then I'm doing once a night until free agency. Free agency will be another typical 2 day sim period, then one a day for 3 days to a week. It depends on how much the bidding slows down.

Zherdev and Moulson are on the block. Looking to make a big package offer for an elite player. Also looking for a solid second-pairing d-man.

Has it been simmed past the first time of resigning? I sent out offers and the players basically said "i'll let you know tonight"
