Hopefully hes okey and ready to play on friday against Davos (Nash/Thornton)!
If he misses anything more than 1 game for a "strong" bruise then he is not a hockey player.

I most definitely hope he'll be fine on Friday, as I will be there, albeit for once cheering for his opponents. But I'm really looking forward to watching him and Streit and he can score a bunch, no problem, as long as Davos wins.

He got to practice his powerplay a lot. Davos were abysmal for 40 Minutes and took penalty after penalty. He scored on a 5-3 and more than once created mayhem in the Davos defence. Out of Nash/Thornton and him he clearly was the best.

Weberstreit provided the link earlier in this thread. Not English, but you hear "John Tavares" often enough to follow the plot.

Oh, and FYI, the kid can play.

I think he's up to 21 pts in just 14 games now. He's having fun out there. I remember the rage and frustration and body language from his first two years with the Islanders. Losing all the time. Now he's all smiles.

Whatever dude, Tavares is so overrated that it's sickening. He can't even get to wear the golden dome, should have drafted Hedman or Duchene instead. Moulson carries him on that line, Parenteau will be missed.

For the record, Hans was 1-2-3 yesterday. Assisted on the first two goaks and scored the third. And got two penalty minutes.

Unfortunately that's only for the European Trophy, NLA games are broadcasted on pay-tv, so there are mostly only highlights available.

Incase the lockout's still on then, Team Canada said they will dress up the NHLers for the Spengler Cup (and every other team can get some reinforcements as well), but i'd guess they still have a place for a marginally talented player like Tavares. Probably the best bet to see him play some games live in NA.

I hope he "learns how to win" and brings it back to the island when the lockout ends.

You should see what he did to their locker room with his selfish personality. He insisted that they all speak Canadian and put gravy on their schnitzel.

I hate this stuff. Players don't learnt to win or lose. They learned that during their first season of hockey ever. Those are team stats. He can't play defense and I'm sure he would suck as our goalie.

He can learn to lead a little better sure, but this learning to win stuff annoys me.

I like the 1st comment in the comments section.

With Tavares must necessarily be extended. He is clearly the best player in the squad.

This guy doesn't even know he's just marginally talented.

first game speech was riveting, ended with the wealthy and generous john tavares handing out FREE DVDs to Swiss teammates, a slab of Canadian Bacon and Tim Hortons gift cards.

Can't believe the Isles are shelling out $5.5M per year for this bust.

So Hans is en fuego today? I think he's a Notre Dame fan and wants the golden helmet to show support.

Game over, 2-4 for him. Seguin has 20 goals in 20 games, not bad.

I need them as well. At least once a week for the past 2 months I've spent about 2 hours straight watching JT highlights on youtube. I think I'm in a withdrawl of some sort.
