Sorry son, no Blackhawks game tonight.

A father wonders how he can tell his 25 year old son who is autistic why there is no game tonight.

I'm the guy who wrote the blog, and it's my son I'm talking about. Thanks so much for your comment.

Great article....what to tell him....well, the players and the owners have about 2 billion stuffed animals and can't figure out how to divide them up because they both want them all.

I see that kid during ever home game. They always make sure to show him on t.v., never knew anything about him.

As a father myself my heart goes out to him. Truly a tragic situation.

Wouldn't make any difference to those money-grubbing, selfish idiots. And by that I mean both the players and the owners.

The NHLPA does deserve their share of blame for what's happened, but it's not the players that decided to lock themselves out. Though it does take two sides to get an agreement done, it only takes one to screw things up.

Sure, and it also takes two to have someone punch a dude in the face. Shouldn't really blame the guy that gets sucker punched, though.

Exactly.

Yes, the PA could agree to another 24% pay cut and we could play tomorrow. But why should they?

I know, I'm always jealous of their seats.

Touching article that frustrates the hell out of me. I don't share the same sentiment as the author does towards the players and owners. I really couldn't care less about how many millions either side stands to lose. There are countless fans who have very limited budgets and/or save money just to watch these guys play and meanwhile they're in an ongoing contest to see who can be greedier.

Exactly.

The league is a joke right now, IMO. A freaking lockout, the Coyotes still in Phoenix, and Edmonton "looking" at Seattle as a relocation possibility.

Yeah, but that wasn't at all serious. There's absolutely no chance that the Oilers leave Edmonton anytime soon.

It was really hard to read the full article. I really feel bad.

Wish that this whole sports imperium (all leagues, not only NHL) would take more care about what really matters - the sports itself
