MWHL Las Vegas Hookers Sign Former Chi-Town Shooter Brian Jacque

The Las Vegas Hookers announced the signing of Wilbraham, MA native Brian Jacque for the 2012-13 season. The 5' 11" defender returns to the Hookers after scoring 30 goals and 30 assists for the club in his debut last season. Jacque joined the Hookers from the Chi-Town Shooters of the AAHL where he played from 2008 to 2011. He was called up to the Bloomington Prairie Thunder and Flint Generals of the IHL in 2009. Jacque played college hockey at Johnson and Wales University. The Las Vegas Hookers are members of the Mountain West Hockey League. Learn more at lasvegas.mwhl.net.

Yeah, I made the same mistake. lol

This is the Mountain West Hockey League, a Senior Elite league, which is starting this season. No ties to the old Midwest Hockey League that I can see.

I think the "Hookers" are missing a big marketing opportunity!! I know I"d buy a tee shirt and hat with their logos!!!!

It's a beer league with checking, not a minor pro league and shouldn't be in this forum technically. Not taking anything away from these guys, nice that they can compete for the beer league national championship and the Great Lakes league isn't the only 'Senior Elite' league anymore.

Some Senior 'AAA' teams in Canada provide their players with 'stipends' and cover 'expenses' that are comparable to FHL and Single 'A' salaries.
