He was pretty highly touted heading into the 2012 draft. Who knows how they will end up a few years from now though. Gibson has had remarkable consistency for his age, and he doesn't lack in any area.

That's what I was thinking. Vasilevski sure didn't disappoint today though.
If I had to rank the top centers right now it would be
Mackinnon
Barkov
Monahan
Lindholm
Shinkaruk
Hunter has the skills but he's a lot like Etem. A bit more well rounded and a tad undersized. I sure wouldn't mind having him but guys like Monahan, Barkov, and Lindholm bring much more to the table.
I'm interested to know who the 5 guys are that you have ahead of those guys. I can only guess that it's Jones, Drouin, Mackinnon...but I can't think of two other guys.
To be honest, I have no clue. But in every draft it seems like there are always surprises. I'm simply stating that if any of those three centers are there, I think we should take them.
I think another defensemen will also be there, but it looks about right; based on the current reports. There will likely be some upheavals before draft day, and a few at the draft.
Like we saw this past draft, you just never know who the risers and fallers are going to be. Who knows, Barkov could be this years Grigorenko, and some Swedish defenseman could come screaming up the draft board and get taken at 6. Just hoping we get a quality center prospect in this draft. We need one pretty bad.

I think we have several quality center prospects. We just don't have one that's projected to be a 1C.

Well I think it'd be smart to draft another center prospect in case Holland doesn't pan out, or Getzlaf doesn't sign (I know, doubtful), and Koivu is going to be gone in a year or two

It's not like Holland is the only guy that could be that. One of the best rookie forwards down in our AHL affiliate, Wagner, led all underclassmen in scoring last year in Division I. Rakell is looking pretty great. You'd have to ask someone like Elvstrand about Karlsson, since I have no idea what's happening with him. If Kerdiles can ever catch a break and play, he's an option, too. Of course, there's also Bonino.
I'm a proponent of drafting BPA, and I believe that is exactly what Anaheim has done recently. The result is a prospect pool that many teams would envy.

And this makes me happy that there is a huge number of centers in the top 20. The chances that BPA will coincide with team need are higher than ever.
Drafting a center this year is not a priority. If we need a center right now, taking a center in the draft is unlikely to give us that. It might give us a center in two to four years. There's a reason why teams don't look to the draft to fix the problem of the moment.

I don't consider it a priority either, but if we do pick up a center I would probably feel fortunate. A top notch center prospect could really help keep our prospect pool rounded out. Not that it really needs to be, but I don't think it can hurt to have high quality prospects in every position. I'd always hope Anaheim would go with the BPA though. I think that's why we drafted Gibson, and Lindholm, and Fowler, and so on... and I think it will continue to pay off because the end result is a high quality player, and you can never have too many of those.
Can we draft Drouin? Please... I promise he'll be good lol. He's got a tough task ahead of him to crack the top 5, but he could do it if he keeps it up.

Or maybe he stays around 7-15, so we have a good chance at drafting him, and shows his true potential AFTER we draft him?
