I think TSN only cares about ratings and dollars so they got what they wanted. I agree with the rest of your post though. The World Jrs seems like a product more than a quaint tournament that was a part of the Christmas holidays. But I still watch it like crazy!

BTW: Brunner isn't having a weak game, he's simply not playing. Shedden and del Curto made out that Brunner can only play in three games.

And it's tied at two.

The thing I find is that in the WJHC I'm like a little kid watching a scary movie. I wanna watch but can't so I keep peeking around the corner.
But the Spengler is more relaxed and I'm not so emotional about it, Therefore I sit back and enjoy,

The flood gates have opened 6-2 Davos. They look much better today then they did against Canada.

They basically had the same problem against Team Canada as Team Canada had against Mannheim. Luckily they bounced back.

I expect a close game against UFA tomorrow.

So Canada (CAN) and Vítkovice (Czech) get byes to the semi-finals.

The quarterfinal matches are;

Fribourg (SUI) vs. Mannheim (GER); winner plays Canada.
Davos (SUI) vs. UFA (Russia); winner plays Vítkovice.

Cant wait for the next SC Canada game!!! Gotta love this and the WJC on during the Holidays.

Gonna suck after these tournaments are over and maybe still no NHL!

Totally loving this tournament and the WJC. Definitely caught the Davos/Mannheim game today (plus I got to watch it on our upstairs TV where we have an HD box... so crispy in HD )

So, it's looking like Canada vs the US in the junior tournament, first thing in the morning (04:30EST ) followed an hour or two later by Team Canada vs Fribourg or Mannheim - got to love that!

The early times of the games suck - but hockey is hockey. At least I won't be up late watching the nhl the night before!

Crap - TSN is tape delaying the Canada game until 3:00PM EST.
