There's at least one good name in every fight, almost. Just skimming over it, not too bad.

Main Card:
Heavyweight Bout: Travis Browne vs Antonio Silva - Probably not the popular pick, but I like Silva here. I think he'll end up in top position at some point (maybe multiple times) and be able to get a TKO win over Browne. I really question what Browne will look like if this fight goes into the third round or later, too.

Welterweight Bout: Jake Ellenberger vs Jay Hieron - Two wrestling based guys, I'll go with the guy with the more dynamic stand-up. Probably a decision here.

Welterweight Bout: Josh Neer vs Justin Edwards - I dont see why this fight is on the main card. There are about 5 fights I'd rather see on the undercard, but oh well. I think Edwards will take him down, lay on him a lot, and Neer will whine and complain because 'he came to fight'. Not too invested either way, may end up going with the safe Neer pick.

Flyweight Bout: John Dodson vs Jussier da Silva - da Silva is a hyped prospect and can do some interesting stuff on the ground, but I think Dodson will be able to win a decision in a fight that stays standing for the most part.

Preliminary Card:
Lightweight Bout: Jeremy Stephens vs Yves Edwards - He's the more well-rounded guy at this stage of their careers, and I like Stephens to get a TKO finish.

Lightweight Bout: Michael Johnson vs Danny Castillo - Tough fight here. I've never been overly impressed by Johnson, but he looked great against Feguson last time out. I'll take Castillo anyway.

Lightweight Bout: Dennis Hallman vs Thiago Tavares I always pick Tavares' fights wrong, so I'm sure this one will be no different.

Lightweight Bout: Jacob Volkman vs Shane Roller - Another wrestling battle and I'll take the guy with better stand-up.

Featherweight Bout: Bart Palaszewski vs Diego Nunes - Tough fight to call here too.

Flyweight Bout: Darren Uyenoyama vs Phil Harris - Not much to say here.

Lightweight Bout: Carlo Prater vs Marcus LeVesseur - I'll take the guy who didn't lose to Cody McKenzie.

Welterweight Bout: Aaron Simpson vs Mike Pierce - One of the more intriguing fights on the card, although it could end up being pretty boring. I'll take Pierce because I like his standup more than Simpson.

I like the card. Main event should be good, and when it comes to free cards, if there's a good main event, then that's good enough for me.

Ellenberger being on the card is another good name on the card, and that's a plus, unfortunately I don't like the match up, as co-main.

Neer has some name value, though I'd rather this fight be shifted off the card in favour of Bart vs. Nunes.

Dodson is a TUF winner, so that makes him some what of a name. Actually quite interested in the match up against da Silva.

I really don't get the neer/Edwards fight either....

Beyond even making the tv portion, it seems lime a step backwards for neer. Was Edwards a fill in or was this the original matchup?

Neer got blasted pretty badly by Pyle last time out so a step back seems appropriate. I don't think this was an injury situation.

Interested in the Dodson fight.

Picking Browne but something tells me Silva will take him down and that could be all she wrote. If Browne doesnt KO Silva, I dont see how he can win.

The main event is a real toss up, if Browne cant get an early KO I could see Bigfoot taking over late and smothering him.

By the time UFC 153 is over that will of been 4 UFC events in 21 days then no more fights until Nov 10th. They should make the schedule a little more balanced.

As a fan I agree, but as a business they need to create mini-breaks throughout the year so their staff can get some time away. I think a card every two weeks would be perfect - one free FX/Fuel card, and two weeks later a PPV (8/yr) or Fox (4/yr) card.

Logistically though, I don't know if this is doable.
