Yeah no kidding. We got a placekicker who can't even attempt a 50+ yard FG and then we have a wasted roster spot given to a kickoff "specialist" who can't even consistently kick it out of the end zone like every other single good kicker in the league can. Bills need to let Lindell and Potter go, and stick with a young kid who has a big leg. Not having a kicker with the leg/accuracy to even try 50 yarders is extremely alarming, if playoffs are on the line and we have the ball at the 35 down by 2 with one second left and due to our inept kickers we would have to try to score a TD in that situation since our kicker hasn't tried a 50 yarder for almost the last three seasons?!? That's pathetic.

I was surprised they didn't try Potter on FGs in preseason. With his leg, if he can hit them now you've got a leg with incredible range. Wouldn't get rid of him...he might actually be the kid with the big leg.
Well, all I know is that I face-palmed when comparing this to our kicking game/decisions; it's embarrassing that there are kids out there with more poise and leg than our kicker/specialist tandem:

When I start to think that way, I remember that this is the Bills we're talking about here... and someone will always find a way to leave and/or get paid, to injured reserve or to self-destruct.
Nice you tube, but I am almost positive that kick was off of a tee. Makes a huge difference.
I don't see a tee and there is a holder that takes the hike and is holding it down with a finger. I don't see how he could put it on a tee that quickly and easily. I think its legit and if it wasn't I think you would see/hear the disclaimer that it was aided by a tee.
If the Bills really needed to hit a long FG, I'd be curious as to what Potter could do. Although his touchbacks have been disappointing.
