Regardless if it's a non-contact shinny game between old timers, it's probably not worth the risk. Bobby Orr doesn't play in them either for the same reason.
Exactly. Yzerman isn't too far from having to walk with a cane... and he's only in his 40s!

I have to ask. When we these "extra" Cups won?

Yzerman is a true professional.

1918 as the Arenas and in 1922 as the St.Pats. Just my guess.

Just dress Marchment and let him slow a few of them down. I'm sure he still knows how to knee knock.

18 and 22 before Detroit, Chicago or Boston were even in the league. Those 2 cups arent a good argument to say that Toronto has better alumni at all.

Theoretically wasn't Detroit there??
But the only team out of the three who really had to build from scratch was the Bruins (*no team was moved). The Wings (Cougars) and Hawks (Rosebuds) were pretty much absorbed and their players as well. I truly think the Alumni are a wash if considering the ones on the Leafs end who have expired or are in their winter months. The argument itself is completely subjective.

Actually you and the other fans here, have convinced me.
Detroit had many stars, the Leafs won their Cups, with good players
and a smidge of teamwork.

I wouldn't say that Toronto having home advantage of the HoF, can
be attributed to a 12 person difference. Maybe in part.

The NHL also started in 1917-18? Why does the term original six, even
exist then?
